I knew Bish would see it my way. The thread lives.thebish wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:Please, I'm superstitious, can we close this bloody thread?
And stat anew?
Who knows what that might bring......
what would happen is that we'd close the thread JUST as we were about to finalise a deal - and it would be scuppered because there would be no place to discuss it... you know it makes sense!
I promise when the window is done that I will not start another of these threads.

Just what this thread needed: an excuse for spurious posts.

Well just cant see us having much more? trying to book balancing is key for a responsible club like ours (not taking into account the debt to warbies)
The cahill thing in my opinion is a shocker and has freebie in 12 months written all over it, if it was someone other than Arsenal interested then id say it might go through, but as you see with there offer for Jagielka, they want stuff on the cheap. Give it the final week of the window and cahill will be sold for <13million which is still good in my opinion but in the current climate is to little.
WTF?? The Warbies!!!! You been asleep a while?

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Middle of next week, another 8-9 pages is my guess

Just out of interest:

Sounds like our M.O. !Bristol City boss Keith Millen is refusing to accept defeat in the club's efforts to keep Nicky Maynard.
The highly-rated striker has just one year left to run on his current contract, posing the Robins with quite a dilemma.
He is generating plenty of interest, making it easy enough for City to offload him should they wish to do so.
They have, however, already knocked three bids back and claim the figures offered so far fall a long way short of their valuation.
Millen is adamant that he will not part with Maynard on the cheap and is clinging to the belief that the 26-year-old could yet be persuaded to pen a new deal at Ashton Gate.
Anxiety
"I understand everyone's anxiety in him not signing a new contract and I'd love it to be sorted out sooner rather than later," he told the Bristol Evening Post.
"In my dreams, Nicky signs a new contract and gets the goals that win us promotion.
"There is no reason why that cannot happen. That is my hope.
"But I have done everything I can to persuade him and now it's down to the board of directors."
Millen added: "No-one has offered anything like the money we believe he is worth and I'm confident the club will remain strong in that respect.
"At the moment, there is nothing to worry about on that score, but we will all feel happier when we see Nicky with a pen in his hand."
26 years old. If he's going to step up a level, now would be the time.

Didn't they reject £4m from Leicester?
A lot of beans for someone of that age with a bad injury record and who has never been in the toppest of top top flights

Errr should a rumour look like it might come to fruition, are there any rules about exceeding your daily post count to try and set up what page it'll "break" on?
If not, I'll go with page 300 and hope I can post fast enough.
