Ronin is WELL overrated.Bruce Rioja wrote:Watched Ronin' last night. If the contents of the suitcase were ultimately something to do with an Irish peace accord, why were they of any interest to the Russians?
I appreciate this doesn't help you, but I thought I'd chip in

Sean Bean is dire in everything. Leon is Jean Reno's finest hour in English speaking films. Far, far superior film.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Just watched an old favourite, By The Sword ,with Murray Abrahams and Eric Roberts. Based in an American fancing academy and I love the Angel Romero Spanish guitar music score that runs right through the film.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I think half the problem with stars is bad casting rather than bad acting. Sean Bean was right for his part in Ronin, good in Patriot Games and fine as Sharp. Kiera Knightly too was very good in The Duchess and Pride and Prejudice but totally badly cast as a bounty hunter or warrior queen in King Arthur etc.
I didn't think Ronin over-rated. A good entertaining film with great stuff from De Niro and Reno.

Le Tour De France
Watching Stage 20, Cadel Evans may be the first Australian to win since the tour has been running, 108 years
I always seem to want to watch the tour with only a day or two left
Someone Mooned the Camera. (Mooning is for someone pulling down their pants and showing the backside)
here is a 144KB livescores picture, with some writhing at the end

Tommorow, (being currently 8 past 1am Sunday)
it's the start of the postal week, I'm nervous as to whether Series 1 of I'm Alan Partridge will arrive

Toy Story 1 and 3 are good. Shrek, the first one is good not overly impressed by the rest. One of the advantages/disadvantages of having a child (apologies if you do have one).Lofthouse Lower wrote:These aren't really my cup of tea, but am broadening my horizons

Indeed I do though she's too young for these things yet, she just likes colours and filling her nappy with chicken korma
