Bold are possibilities. Italics are injured or endangered

GK: Jussi, Bogdan
RB: Steinsson, Ricketts , Mears
LB: Robinson, Alonso,
CB: Knight, Onohua
CB: Cahill, Wheater
DM: Muamba, Savis, Pratley,
CM: Holden,ReoCoker , M. Davies,
RW: Lee, Eagles
LW: Petrov, Jeffren, Gardner
ST: SKD, Eaves,
ST: Sturridge, Klasnic, Blake

Good squad if those players pan out. Maybe we need to shift one or two of the midfielders or maybe one and Cahill to get under the 25. How old is Bogdan? Eaves?

Only 6 possibilities ?? If you put all that have been mentioned we'll be 3 pages further on.

I suspect Ricketts, when fit, may be pushing Robbo for the left back spot with Steinsson and Mears contesting right back.

Ricketts can also play at centre half.

Go back 1 page to official Burnley Site.
You're only trying to get pages up to 200, before next signing.

To be honest if Onohua, Reo-Coker, Jeffren and Sturridge came in I'd be delighted. Wouldn't mind another decent player just to be sure.

Well, maybe not delighted, but we wouldn't be breaking the bank for them...

i think it's good business i also like the fact we are sticking to mostly english (or english born) players

but i would love for us to get jeffren but can't see it now that we have (nearly) signed eagles

Why, PW? Eagles is a right sided winger/forward and will be cover for Chungy. I was misinformed that he has played on the lft, he has only done so when injuries at Burnley have forced him to.

We still have the Ward/Al Habsi money which is being used for Jeffren, as I understand it
Pfffft.

I don't understand the reo-coker one, unless he's going to be getting rid of someone else then it leaves us over stacked in central midfield. Chris Eagles I can live with, but tyrone meares? For the love of god why him?! Part of the Derby team that got a total of 11 points in the prem....great signing :S

I would much very welcome Eagles and Mears, both have Premiership experience and their style fits in with our style.

Let's just get a striker now, even if its just this Spanish kid, then ill be happy.

Striker has been the priority for all the close season. I still think we need 2 strikers, Sturridge could be one, only Coyle knows the other.

Really? Plenty of other players have been bought from teams that have been relegated from the Prem, please I don't think you can just put the fact they got 11 points down to Tyrone Mears on his own.

But TKIZ, don't you know that any good RB would have kept Derby up single handed?

I wasn't saying that it was all down to that one person, he's part of the TEAM that got 11 points. surely if we're going to be buying a RB it should be someone that is better than steinsson and ricketts?

possible 433

lw : petrov ST : Davies Rw : chungy - possible alternatives being : eagles - klasnic - blake

lcm : holden Rcm : pratley - alternatives : reo cocker - gardner - mdavies - savies
Cm: Muamba

Lb : robbo Cb : knight Cb : wheater rb : steinson - alternatives - gardner - cahill - mears - alonzo - ricketts

Gk : jussi -bogdan

honestly isnt looking as bad as most are thinking though if we added sturridge into the mix up top different possibilitys become more readily available formation wise, as it stands this to me looks like our strongest team at the moment so maybye big kev has been impressing coyle with his goalscoring in training / preseason and hopefully klasnic has found that extra bit of fitness too

overall we need a real goalscorer and some more workrate uptop so potentially jeffren and dare i say cameron jerome could be what we are looking for with a possible loan of sturridge too were looking exciting for the new season ^^
