Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
I'm generalising, but there appears to be an over-riding opinion that Mears and Eagles are good enough for BWFC and there would be quiet content if Muamba was let go
Am I reading that right?

I don't think Muamba should be first choice, but he's a good squad player and an upgrade on Cohen et al.
Keep him, cos Holden and NRC won't manage to play every week

The hunt is well and truly on for a striker now.

I dont think Coyle is bringing in NRC or Pratley to then sell Muamba who i think is quality at breaking up the play. He's a good squad player and will provide good cover as at the end of last season we struggled for numbers in the middle of the park. We desperately need 2 strikers i'd take N'gog at £4 mill no more and then i would try and sign a loanee for the season a typicla up and coming start that Coyle has a good eye for, or go and spend £1.25 mill on DJ Campbell thats the £5 mill that we were gunna spend on Jeffren!

Problem with this cunning plan is that Liverpool want 6m for Ngog.mighty_whites wrote:I dont think Coyle is bringing in NRC or Pratley to then sell Muamba who i think is quality at breaking up the play. He aint worth £6 mill though, i'd add aload of add ons on (haha dont think that reads that well but you get the gist) like 10 goals an extra 500k 30 apps 500k stuff like that as he hasnt really set the prem alight!! I would also have a look at Jamie Punceon as well he looked half decent for Pool last season!

Just loan him, and stick in the clause that if he scored 15 goals we'll pay £6m for him

Well, Euro's, not £'s, but essentially correct. Wow. That shows how ealthy clubs take the eye off the ball.Lofthouse Lower wrote:Sold for £1m to Levante and then immediately on to Lokomotiv for £9m - got a good rep cos he scored plenty in La Liga last yearmighty_whites wrote:Sounds a good deal to me! Levante striker Felipe Caicedo is poised to sign for Lokomotiv Moscow, the Spanish club have confirmed on their official website.
The Ecuador international had joined Levante on a permanent basis earlier in the summer for €1 million after an impressive season on loan from Manchester City.
Levante will make a large profit with the sale of Caicedo, as reports in Spain suggest the player will be sold for €7.5m.
That fee could rise to as much as €10m if Lokomotiv Moscow reach the Champions League in the next four years or if Caicedo scores more than 15 goals in a season.
Caicedo, who joined Manchester City from Basel in 2008, was loaned out to Sporting and Malaga before hitting top form for Levante last season.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Glad you pointed out that it is in Euro and not GBP, I'm ashamed to have been a matter of 1:1.13 out on my calculations.
So thanks
I remember the fat lad scoring against us not too long ago.

Of course they will want to play for the first team. Whether they expect to be an automatic first choice when they sign is another matter. Try reading the post properly.Prufrock wrote:I think Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears will want to play for the first team rather than the reserves since they are football players.
not being privy to any of the actual pennies situation, who would want to come, who the scouts have recommended I/we have seen very little of, I don't know)
As for the rest of it, that's the sort of cop-out usually employed by those who just criticise, safe in the knowledge that they're never going to be asked to provide any alternatives. It's pathetic.
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Tell me that you didn't expect to sell Cahill by now. What 'loftier ambitions' should we have had then for a budget of f**k all? That's assuming you can volunteer an opinion without access to a scouting network.Choppers wrote:If we've agreed terms with him, I mean...it's done.
Eagles, Mears and Reo-Coker.
Tell me that you didn't have loftier ambitions a month ago?

actual breaking transfer news....
BeN wrote:BOLTON Wanderers have identified their key target for the summer but it is not a striker or even a midfield playmaker — Owen Coyle needs a gardener.
The club has advertised the rare opportunity on its website and is looking to bring in the new signing as soon as possible — the deadline for applications to be received is August 12, a day before the new Premier League season starts The job was also posted on micro-blogging website Twitter, leading some mischievous Whites fans to suggest the role would be ideal for former first team manager Gary Megson.
Wanderers are looking for one lucky person to join its grounds team.
The new gardener will not be cutting the hallowed turf inside the Reebok Stadium but will instead be tending to the landscaped areas outside the stadium, as well as at the club’s training ground at Euxton and the Wanderers Academy in Lostock. The job advert at bwfc.co.uk said: “A rare opportunity has arisen to join the experienced grounds team at Bolton Wanderers Football Club.
“The successful candidate will have experience in nurturing and maintaining hedges and planted areas on a large scale and have a sound working knowledge of plant propagation.”
The job also involves the use of machinery, sowing, planting, pruning and spraying. But the club is not looking for a green fingered amateur.
Applicants need a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in horticulture and a knowledge of health and safety procedures. For details, go to bwfc.co.uk or call 01204 673673.

according to the Daily Star....

so - there's news!BOLTON want to tie-up a £3m deal for Liverpool striker David Ngog.
Owen Coyle offered £6m for the 22-year-old Frenchman last summer but now thinks he can get him for half price.
