Thought it was going to be a piece about N'Gog. Turns out that these Transfer Tavern people are slower than a slow thing called Slowly McSlower

Everton have always struggle for money, usually make one 'marquee' signing which usually shuts the fans up

It'll be more of a small 2 man tent signing if they can't rustle up £150,000.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

Surely we won't sign Jerome. Although perhaps it might be worth bunging in a cheeky 1-2M offer for him. Birmingham are six months away from administration according to people I talk to.

He'd be a decent investment if we can get him for £2-3mil. He could quite easily treble that value with one half decent spell.

Overpriced, surely?

Still, if we had a few million left over, and they were desperate and we could get him for £2m, I'd take the punt. Especially if, in a blue sky world, where we could let our thoughtclouds run wild, we got Sturridge for another year.

Its an incredibly unlikely scenario however.

If he's on the cheap (ie: less than 3M) then we could do worse than Liam Ridgewell given his ability to do a job at both left-back and centre-back. Experienced Premier League player.

b-hell, that'd be a poor state. I could rustle that up. I'm bloody sure the likes of Cahill, Neville & Moyse could.

Happen to be flicking through the channels before and came acorss LFCTV and none other then N'Gog was tearing blackburns defence up before playing the ball for Maxi to score....... He doesn't seem as bad as we make out maybe with the Coyle touch and full 90 minute games he'd be a decent 10-15 goal man!

I do agree with you, will take the chances with him esp if sturridge not coming back. He might get more than Elmo.

B-hell, your Lordship. Have you been on a training course ? "blue sky world" was bad enough. But "let our thoughtclouds run wild" ?!?! Wow.

Liverpool are to approach Bolton and offer them a substantial package for their defender Gary Cahill according to reports.

The 25 year old Cahill is being tracks by a number of Premier League sides and Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is hopeful that he will be able to make the England international his fourth signing of the summer. Joining Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle will be reluctant to lose his star defender and Bolton will want a sizable fee to even consider parting with him.

However, it is believed the package that Dalglish will offer Bolton, will also include additional payment clauses based on the player’s individual performances and the team performance as a whole.

Cahill fits the remit of the type of player that owner John Henry has instructed Dalglish to bring in during the summer and the capture of Cahill will certainly help Liverpool from shipping unnecessary goals next season.

But Liverpool nevertheless will face stern competition for Cahill and Bolton could well see a bidding war ensue as a result.
