Tykes take Vaz Te
Striker earns deal at Barnsley

Skysports.com understands that Ricardo Vaz Te has earned a deal at Barnsley after impressing on trial.

The striker has been looking for a new club since leaving Hibernian at the end of last season and was recently invited to train with the Tykes.

He did his cause no harm in the recent friendly against Grimsby with a spectacular strike that helped seal a 5-1 victory.

Manager Keith Hill admitted he was amazed by the 24-year-old's ability, but warned him to cut out the showboating.

Vaz Te is nevertheless believed to have now signed a contract with Barnsley until the end of the season.
