He had played 90minutes for the reserves a day earlier, to be fair.

Aye, but in light of the Munich chants, and tbf I could think of worse we could yell at him.

Also, Robbo looked like a child high on sugar for half the game, was playing VERY far forward but was definitely enjoying the crowd although "Robbo show us your ass!" was uncalled for imo!!! :D

The whole Alonso situation is all a bit muddled, hes played every pre season game yet may only be at the club for another 3/4 months? it doesn't add up. Like I can understand him having 10-15 minutes here and there but there must be more going on behind the scenes. Personally i like the lad and think he has potential, it's just he has a huge great cloud over him atm...and at the end of the day a girl died!

Swings? Not a clue if he's a swinger?

But the chant is; "He swerves".

And there's far worse chants than that, it's sad that folk let themselves get upset about it.

As for the game, don't care what the official site says, there were more than 1,700 Bolton there. Pretty funny outnumbering the home support.

Oh aye, I'm sure Marcos has a right little chuckle to himself when he hears that ringing in his ears.

ah, so cos there are worse chants its ok. Fair enough.....
If he'd of just been in an accident, written off a fancy car, then yeah, oi oi epic banter an all that, but given the passenger died it's a bad 'un for me. From a BWFC perspective he's being paid by the club to play football, reminding him of an upcoming court case, regardless of fault, aint great either.
And yeah, well sad that the family of the girl who died got upset about it! Should of just chinned up and got on with it eh?

or, in simple terms,

Could see a couple of wanderers shirts in the home end too! Considering that it was their "cup final" I expected a few more of them to turn up and them to actually attempt to outsing us at any point.

i thought that, guessed at 2/2.5k when i was sat there. given that we were told our end held 3000, it was easily 3 quarters full.

We're did I say it was ok? I merely said there are worst chants. If fans want to make fools of themselves singing such chant's let them, just ignore it and watch the game.

I'm not sure. I was sat on half way and there were plenty of gaps to the right and was empty going towards the penalty box/corner.

Given our dearth of strikers and plethora of midfielders the 4-4-1-1 may be a viable option but we must be prepared to drop SKD for Klasnic now and then. That's a big hurdle.

Also, I didn't see the game but Eagles apparently made things happen and was wasteful. Hopefully with more time together the balance will shift towards creating more wasting less. Plus losing possession upfront isn't as bad as at the back so as long as he was trying something...

Good signings all around

Pros were definitely Nige off whom Bury players were literally bouncing off him, i thought he bossed it when he came on. i was in the directors box so saw Mears up close, he did ok and looks like he can play a bit. Eagles was a little spendthrift in the final third but certainly looked comfortable at trequartista, but would need more than Robbie Blake to play off.

Above all that kit looked the balls!! :D

No mate, he wasn't alone in the Adebayor chant.

He didn't go? Must have been accompanying his mrs to parents' evening

True. It's a bit like the pied piper to be honest, he belts out a song and the 'yoof' follow.
