I think theres a chance we'll get them both (n'gog and jerome)..no seriously..i bet birminghem have had to lower the asking price since their financial issues have gone public. Just depends on liverpool and if we could afford the wages.

If we absolutely must have Jerome then please God let it just be on loan

Didn't Stoke tell him to shove it after he asked for about £35k per week?

Aye but £35,000 per week over a season is a lot more palatable when you've only paid £500,000 for a loan, rather than £5m for a transfer.

He's still really really shit though

Hopefully Stoke won't blow all their wad on Can't Control.

I would say the opposite. I hope they do. It leaves Jerome (and Birmingham) with far less options. We can then swoop with a ludicrously low bid at the elenth hour, and he'll have to revise his wage expectations.

I'm no fan of his, but if we could pick him up well under the asking price, and a wage more in the twenties, I'd be tempted. Of course, it would ideally be in addition to rather than instead of another (young, loan, from Chelsea?) striker.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

But it's over £2 Million down the drain

I know, but my point was it's better than £7m odd down the same drain

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Taken from Bolton News

"UP until an hour before kick off, Wanderers’ trio of fresh faces faced an uncomfortable evening twiddling their thumbs in the stands at Gigg Lane.

A mysterious piece of paperwork had held up the announcement of Nigel Reo-Coker, Tyrone Mears and Chris Eagles as Owen Coyle’s new signings for almost 24 hours, leaving some doubt as to whether they would take their place on the bench, or up in the stands with the gentry.

Thankfully, and particularly for the 1,625 Whites fans who had made the short trip, Reo-Coker was rushed through just under an hour before kick-off, while Burnley gave permission for Eagles and Mears to participate through the rather more modern medium of their Twitter feed.""

Nowt on official website yet so have they signed or not?
