Aye, the same club that replaced the local ticket office number with an 0870 semi-premium rate number and then introduced a postage fee of £1.50 for tickets. If anyone should get credit, it's the BWFC supporters for voting with their feet and forcing the club into a re-think.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Through the club's deeply-held beliefs? Or the necessary realisation that tickets weren't selling? QPR (etc) have a market they can rip off. BWFC don't.officer_dibble wrote:All I can say is it is games like this that make me proud and glad to be a Wanderer. Where they don't rip you off.

They'll get hefty attendances this season, because people won't want to miss out.. If they stop up, they'll struggle to get people to pay top whack for tickets there unless they start next term with Messi and Ronaldo up front.. Which they won't

They'll have to go on the bench, Helguson and Bothroyd are starters

Well there you go!
Although, you were obviously jesting, that forward line categorically confirms that anybody going to QPR is getting profoundly ripped off

What a joke.
Won't be going to any away games at this rate - contemplated breaking my away game boycott for Blackburn and Wiggin but no, can't be f ucked with any of that.

If the club loved us, they'd subsidise the tickets

Yes but London has a much bigger passing trade like corporates etc.Lord Kangana wrote:I'm sure they'll find out soon enough that actually they don't. It'll be full for the bigger games and local derbies, but I'm convinced they'll be getting some shit attendances when the likes of us (but not actually us, as we're first home game...) rock up. Which of the untermensch have they got as a midweek in february, say?
From a brief scan of the fixtures they don't seem to have any midweeks at all except Dec 20. Neither do we, except Arsenal (presumably rearranged from CL?) on Tue 31 Jan. Which is mildly interesting.

Thus increasing the number of lines dramatically at a fraction of the cost that it would be to upgrade their own facilityBL3 wrote:Aye, the same club that replaced the local ticket office number with an 0870 semi-premium rate number

What a load of bollocks. I think you probably meant to say, 'thus increasing their profits dramatically until supporters started complaining about it'.CAPSLOCK wrote:Thus increasing the number of lines dramatically at a fraction of the cost that it would be to upgrade their own facilityBL3 wrote:Aye, the same club that replaced the local ticket office number with an 0870 semi-premium rate number

It's definitely all to do with cost, what with the arrival of the young'un times are hard - especially with the state of finance in the US. Very worrying.

Don't get me started. But it's a global market now. If they go down - and by all the laws of economics, they should - it'll hurt us hard too. Still, glad that Mrs B put our money in gold...Lofthouse Lower wrote:It's definitely all to do with cost, what with the arrival of the young'un times are hard - especially with the state of finance in the US. I'm just glad that Home Bargains exists, otherwise we'd go hungry.

Over 13,000 season tickets sold so far apparently: http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... ket_surge/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
