Haven't enjoyed a test as much as that for a while.

Well done England.

You wouldn't believe it. Watched the bxxxxxd test for five days and I get "Windows Internet Explorer not responding" and I had to shut down and lost the lot. . Happened a few times, I'll take it up on the technology thread. Fantastic win over a good side. Well done England.

I'll watch the highlights on TV at 7-0'clock.

FYI - my stream went down for a while at the end. Annoying.

:pissed: Woohoo

Queues were about 17 miles long when I got there, and a Sussex member told me he'd been told that it was full, and not to bother. Loads of people were giving up and walking off. At which point a kindly lady steward walked up to me and said "get in the queue, you'll get in from here". And I did. Touts must have had a field day, as the bloke sat next to me paid £50, and a bloke in the beer queue had paid £60. Lords was totally unprepared for the size of the crowd aswell.

After that, well what can I say. Made up for 2005 in every way. I think I'm going to have a glass of wine to celebrate. :D

Glad you enjoyed it LK. Seen the highlights and bits I missed now, so happy again. A real team performance with all the bowlers getting in on it. Peitersen's double ton was definitely the difference as the Indians were never going to reach our score, but the way the team played against the world's best was fantastic. A team of heroes with special mentions for Broad and Matt Prior for that batting stand. Fantastic cricket. Roll on Friday.

Many thanks Tango. Really, you can't beat a day at the cricket. Like most, I suspect, I wish I had the opportunity to do it more often. I was told our seats on the first four days were £100 a pop. Bit too much that.

Yes and no. I said to the guy next to me, it'd be great if he got it with 9 down, and then took the bowler who would have been with him the very next ball, so that he could forever be 100 NO at Lords. He got a standing ovation both on and off the field. Frankly, I think Dhoni unsettled their innings, as before then they'd played really cautiously. He looked like he was trying to win it. Played right in to our hands.

or - as someone said on the bbc news-ticker - got to 100 - then next ball went for a dodgy single - tweaked his hammy - was run out and then couldn't play for the rest of the series!

They really should revise the rule on reviewing lbw. They're getting too many wrong.

I think it was India who insisted that the lbw review system NOT be used for these tests... had it been used the previous over - cook would have gone... had it been used on the decision that gave him out - he'd have stayed...

you win some, you lose some! Personally I'm still not a great fan of umpire decision reviews... (though I'm a big fan when one goes against us!)

Same thing with the tech in tennis and (maybe) football - takes away from the game to have every decision analysed.

Wrong decisions make the game more exciting.

It was. India consistently refuse to allow the LBW review system.
