West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

ahh - now I see..
"The misconception that Scott was captain was born out of the rousing half-time speech that he gave at West Brom [in February]," Allardyce says of the midfielder's address that inspired the team from 3-0 down to 3-3. "I'd like to hear the transcript of that. I might use it myself.
Upson was captain!

Makes you wonder what Upson did to deserve the captaincy. It certainly wasn't anything on the pitch.

They've ben giving him a trial for about a week now. Last I heard, he was going to be given a contract.

hmmmm....
bigsam wrote:Bolton chairman Phil Gartside has previously alluded to Allardyce’s desire to spend more time with his family but the new West Ham United manager wants to set the record straight.

“Bolton, at the end, had an opportunity to finish in the Champions League but didn’t want to take it, so what’s the point in staying?” Allardyce said. “As much as I loved the club, it was impossible for me to stay.

"We had 39 points after 21 games. We were ahead of Arsenal, ahead of Liverpool. We needed to spend some money to give us an opportunity to finish in the Champions League and I was turned down flat and told that we don’t want to finish in the Champions League.”

Asked what he needed, Allardyce said: “About two players. I said to the chairman, 'If we just put more into our squad now we will get in the Champions League. We’ll finish fourth or third.

"All we have to do is have a mediocre 17 games and we are going to finish in the Champions League. These players are too fatigued to carry on because we have got a smaller squad than Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.’

ok.... 17 games to go - and "all we have to do is have a mediocre 17 games and we are going to finish in the Champions League" what a load of utter bollox!!

and... "what do we need?" "about two players" :conf: about??? does that mean 2? 2.5? 1? 19??

c'mon sam - get over it!!

I think we should all show respect for Allardyce, after what he did for us.

I think you should stop following Bish around like a lost little puppy with nothing better to do. It's tedious.

He's a fat prick.

Love how he's talking about how he left us cos we lacked ambition and weren't prepared to take him to the champions league. Well how's that worked out, surely in the time he's left hes won some trophies and qualified for the champs league a couple of times? No? Well he must be managing a top 6 premiership side at least, I mean he is that good at delivering 'the module'? No? Well must have a solid mid table prem side ready for an assault on Europe? No......premiership side? No........

Back in the championship, well done Sam, well done!

Had some great times when Sam was here but he has gone a bit weird since. He doesn't do himself any favours with claims of getting Blackburn playing "vibrant" football and comments like this:

I know it sounds like I'm blowing my own trumpet but I might as well. Mourinho does it all the time and everyone loves him.
