Well, we won. And I won 58p. So great. Still Champions League form.

There is a nagging feeling of the Sammy Lee era at the back of my mind a the moment. Strong in several areas, with a good preseason results-wise, yet woefully weak in other areas and key players missing at the start of the season. I'm sure we'll be fine but big injuries to big players isn't helping my mood!
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Can clearly see Gardner pull up with a hamstring there.

Oh and classic Jussi.

Elmander said the same thing when he was here, then changed his mind when he left!

Hang on, Elmander only complained after he'd left because we'd not given him a pay-rise. He certainly did a better job than Cohen or anyone else did in midfield and on the right.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Jussi looks a dick for that goal. Knock 10k a week off!

We didn't learn much from this given the quality of opposition - other than maybe think twice before playing a 'marquee' friendly against non league cloggers!

Who the feck are we meant to play? All teams need pre season games and the smaller teams typically play the premiership ones. Holden was done at Old Trafford you can get an injury anywhere. KD injured Sodje on Tuesday with a bit of a silly tackle, perhaps Bury shouldn't play tinpot cloggers like us eh?

maybe not!
I'd of thought league teams only personally to be honest, you cant test yourselves against part time footballers and learn much, surely?

What I will say is there isnt much difference between professional Conference clubs and League two.

I thought the purpose for pre-season games was to help players get fit ?
