Dragon's Den's on in a bit. I believe that there's a right old battleaxe from Tonge Moor on it!
According to the Izal Medicated that is the BEN, highlights of the fifth day from Trent Bridge will be on shortly, too.
Celebrity golf is on at the moment with that stammering c*nt from one of the Opportunity Knocks type shows on it.

I've got that, but the downloads aren't in HD sadly (on Anytime+ that is).
New Curb wasn't the best, but the previous two had set the bar high.

Has anyone heard anything about a new series of Flight of the Conchords? I'm sure I heard it mentioned on R4 last Friday but can't find anything.

I hope that I'm wrong - tell me I am.Prufrock wrote:Not tonight, but 15th October I'm going to the Shepherd's Bush Empire to watch Chuck Ragan's Revival Tour featuring, obviously, Chuck Ragan (of Hot Water Music fame), Brian Fallon (lead singer of The Gaslight Anthem), Dan Andriano (bassist and writer of the best songs from Alkaline Trio) and others doing acousticy stripped down stuff. People who know music understand how awesome this is going to be.
Chuck Ragan is the main attraction for me. Massively underrated/no-one has heard of band, Hot Water Music. When I went to watch Frank Turner at the Roundhouse 18months ago (bloody hell, that has flown) we rocked up without knowing who the support was. Only caught the last song or so or a solo bloke's act, and though, fook me, I know that voice. Looking forward to seeing the proper job. Dan Andriano will be a reminisce back to my teenage years job, and Ms Prufrock will be salivating over Brian. I've got a recording of a radio show he did playing Gaslight stuff on his own, and it's not terrible. Know where you are coming from though. Will report. It's not for ages yet though

Well, to be perfectly honest yours is the first I've ever of them, so I'll have a mooch.

Trusty Chords
There Are Already Roses
Third one one of my faves of theirs, first two from probably their best album, Caution.
Those three are all at the less heavy end of their stuff.
And as for the gig I'm going to, his voice in HWM sounds like one that shouldn't work without band, but does.

Now then - Romcoms aren't usually my thang, however, I've just watched and thoroughly enjoyed Tamara Drewe. Highly recommended to those that aren't in it for explosions and, who knows, maybe one or two that are.

Didn't like it at all, none of the characters were particularly likeable.Bruce Rioja wrote:Now then - Romcoms aren't usually my thang, however, I've just watched and thoroughly enjoyed Tamara Drewe. To be honest, Chief, had they been then I'd have probably have been on here calling it cheesey bollocks. I prefer films in which I warm to the casting more than I do the characters. Unto each, etc. etc.jmjhb wrote:Didn't like it at all, none of the characters were particularly likeable.Bruce Rioja wrote:Now then - Romcoms aren't usually my thang, however, I've just watched and thoroughly enjoyed Tamara Drewe. Re: What are you watching tonight?
I'm (VCR) taping two tapes for someone.
Boxing & Urban.
Because of the popness of "Urban" I'm about to call him over twice;
Today I went to EB Games and had a look;
Found buy one get 1 free, got a Back up copy of GTA: SA and Activision Anthology, which I used to own; it is good for the 80s music.
But that looked heaps bad (the dvd was scrathed slightly, andthe hub was bit bad) So I went to look for the other copy I saw.
Couldn't find it but came across Gaelic Football!
It doesn't have the International Rules Though (Ireland Vs. Australia)
Hopefully my Saved Games of GTA San Andreas are compatible with the copy I got today.
