My money (for what its worth) is on a late permanent deal for Rodrigo, and Sturridge or Ngog on loan (again, late on).Lord Kangana wrote:It'll be Jerome (or equivalent) + loanee if I had to place a bet.

I was one of that mind-set. I liked the bloke, but obviously somebody top end didn't see it that way. Funnily enough there's a bit about him leaving in today's BN. Not playing enough was the reason he left, as he liked it here. He'd probably fit our current syle of play better than the one we had then.Lord Kangana wrote:I don't recall anyone moaning about Borgetti. I thought the general consensus was that he pehaps should have been played more?

One club, can't remember who (might have been QPR) had a bid of 6 million rejected only last week. We aint gonna pay that for a striker so it's pointless going for him. As for Jerome, if we sign him the season tickets going back, not that it's actually turned up yet. N'gog will do for me.Norpig wrote:They wanted £7m when they thought there would be a stampede, no interest nearing the end of the window a team needing to sell. This must add up to be able to get him for £4-5m which I think would be in our budget if OC wanted him and thought the price was rightThey want about 7 million for Shane Long.

Out of those names realistically Onouah based on the sale of Cahill, Ngog if Liverpool reduce their valuation of him!! Sturridge is a no go until Jan when he realises that Chelsea aint playing him, Rodrigo the same applies plus i aint fussed bout him. Johnathon walters no thanks! Barton no chance of us getting him as we dont need him or his wages. Jerome is shite, SWP a hopeful would love to see him in BWFC shirt and Vukcevic. So Ngog and Vukcevic new strikers and SWP on the right!
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Coyle was on Sky Sports News just now...
Barton = Absolutely not.
Weiss = Probably not.
SWP = He's definitely interested.
Sturridge = Sounds 50/50 to me, but he's desperate to have him back.
Cahill = NOT going to Liverpool.
He was pretty clear that we need strikers/wingers.

For what it's worth, QPR have completed the signing of DJ Campbell, so that's off-menu

So now we need a full back on loan, a winger on loan and a striker on loan....
Sweet.. That's £5 Million on players that don;t even belong to us then!

Or 15 million if we sign them all permanently on three year contracts.

Don't think we can worry too much about full back. We can't have adequate cover including for injuries everywhere, not practical. Hopefully Ricketts and Mears will be fit before christmas and we'll just have to get through till then. Priority still on strikers and a winger after that.boltonboris wrote:So now we need a full back on loan, a winger on loan and a striker on loan....
