Name from the past; Gelson Fernandes has joined Leicester on loan.
Also looks like Chelsea have flogged Yuri Zhirkov.

Bit harsh that, usually a fine of two weeks' wages suffices.

SSN saying we have been given permission to speak to SWP along with Wigan and Sunderland. Not a chance he will choose Wigan so it's a slog between us and blunderland. They can offer more money but if he was overly arsed about the money he would stay at city.

It amazes me how players don't run a feckin mile well podge Bruce opens his mouth. Why would anybody want to play for him. Hopefully coyle's enthusiasm along with good words from knight and petrov will convince him to come here.

What colour's the sky in your world?
Money talks. SWP wants to play first team football and get back in the England squad. He'll do that at Sunderland and on 10-15k a week more than we will be prepared to.

It's not all rosey playing for Sunderland. Darren bent being a prime example .. Playing every week .. Decent money .. Loved by the fans.. But he soon jumped ship at the first chance when what looks like a sinking villa side came calling.

Haven't Sunderland just sold Steed Malbranque?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Depends how well your head is turIt will all depend how much money is on the table. I'm sure he will see we 'want' him more, and he has mates here and already lives round here, so unless Soondaland are basically matching or near his current wage and we're halving it then at least it'll make it a tough choice, but my money's still on Sunderland - a player like SWP is used to the big-team player profile he has enjoyed since going to chelsea and joining the england squad.ChrisC wrote:Hence the word hopefully.. But doesn't that open up a a space for a SWP?

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Sunderland, Bolton and Wigan given permission to speak to SWP according to skysportsnews.
Seems to me he has the choice of-
Sunderland- Better wages
Wigan- Guarenteed first teamer
Bolton- Somewhere inbetween on both. Not guarenteed first team football but should start as first choice and better wages than Wigan but probably not what Sunderland can offer.
Wigan and Bolton also gives him the transfer without having to relocate.
All down to what he values most.
