Good player.
Knees are f*cked though.

Talented, older, fans love him...not obviously available but stoke looking for a striker. Injuries & age mean cheap-ish contract?

He fits the Owen MO unfortunately. If he's cheap I'd have him, on the proviso of another (possibly loan) striker joining him.
If this civil unrest continues, mind, a striker may be the least of our worries.

Ricardo "wiley boo" Fuller will never pass a medical but is exciting and skillful. Will embarras you as a defender on a football field but is also prone to red cards due to his temper. You better pass the ball to him when and how he wants it, and not waste it if he gives you or you'll get the look. Loves to cut in from wide and still capable of scoring a few. A bit past his prime but would give us something different.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:My nagging suspicion is ricardo fuller..

It's gunna (haha) be Bendtner in Cahill deal, he's a fan favourite its just the opposing team fans thats loving him! haha I can't see it being Fuller or Walters, why have we got no money only 4 weeks ago we had a £5 mill bid accepted for Jefferen thats before we sold Taylor and Ward! We surely don't have to go to those extremes neither gunna be a great goalscorer for us we need a goalscorer. Bendtner in Cahill deal plus SWP on loan for the year, plus a cheeky £4mill bid for Maynard I wouldn't want to be in a team with James in goal after weekend haha! And we will take that Alex Chamberlain on loan for season in Cahill deal haha

We're still around 100,000 a week net better off than last year in wages too according to Nixon.
New signings cost us around 80k p/w (average of 20k for four good players, well done Owen/Phil)
Outgoing players he'd said Elmander was 40k+, Taylor 32k, Samuel 20k, Habsi and Cohen 15-20k, Sturridge 'massive'- which I imagine equates to 50-55k which is what I'd heard he was on.

I heard from a Leeds fan (friend?) we are interested in Luchiano Becchio (not sure of spelling) he is injured at the moment though. I am surprised we have not gone for Snodgrass good winger, wants to play in PL, Leeds would sell?
Bentner would be a good adition IMHO maybe if we can't get Sturridge the young lad McEldrey (not sure of name) he has played in a few pre season matches no chance of starting for Chelsea can play on right wing or off the striker (supposed to be the next Jack Wilshire)

I'm not sure that signing an injured player to help ease our current injury crisis is the way forward.Norpig wrote:I heard from a Leeds fan (friend?) we are interested in Luchiano Becchio (not sure of spelling) he is injured at the moment though.

Ewooder in the next office has read that it's Jerome. He's never, ever been right about a single thing in his life. I just hope his run continues!
