Well, the first of the protagonists appeared in court and was given one day in prison and as he had already served it he was released. Of course he had only nicked a couple of T-shirts so no mention of tens of millions of collateral damage. On the getting tough side DC has said water cannon has been authorised for use if needed. Might as well have said nuclear weapons have been authorised for use if needed. Water cannon, plastic bullets, et al are defensive methods not suppressive so their use will never be needed as long as the mobs can move to another area fast enough, which has been happening. I have heard that many chiefs constable have refused to deploy these devices unless there is a serious escalation in the present violence. On the other side of the coin I was on my way to deepest Essex from The Smoke (sic) and inadvertently turned down a one way street, it transpired the sign had been knocked 90 degrees and thus wasn't really visible. So out hops this pcso who proceeds to give me a bollocking in a sarcastic tone. So some policing is taking place. In the shadows was a pcso girl so perhaps he was protecting her. Good stuff! 8)

Lord Kangana wrote:The problem is Tango, as unpalatable as this is, if you criminalise hundreds, if not thousands, of these people/morons (and therefore the added consequences on your employment prospects etc) this will just happen again.

I don't have the answer by the way. But someones going to have to come with some very clever way of dealing with this. Cleverer than just "we'll arrest them and it'll all go away" anyway.
I agree, criminalising these people is not the answer.

They should have just given them a good fooking kicking and had done. Scrotes.

True theft tale:

Working in Liverpool, we had a spate of tools disappearing off the site. One day, saw an electric drill walking up a wall on its own. Dashed round it to find two very young kids hauling it up by the long extension cable. Called the police and asked the sergeant to give them a frightener. Conversation went as follows:

"What's your dad going to think about you getting arrested for thieving?"
"Dunno,never see him"
"Oh, well have you any older brothers?"
"Yes, ar XXXXXX"
"And what's he going to think?"
Dunno, he's in Walton"

All too common a tale in lots of areas. What chance do the kids have? Frightening to think that today's looters are tomorrow's parents.
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?

They said on the news last night that the UK only owns six water cannons and they're all permanently stationed in Northern Ireland and anyway we can't even borrow them even if we want to because it's marching season over there and they need them.

Just come round work
Hi

The police have spoken with the Manager of the Radley shop and informed her that they are expecting more rioting tonight, but earlier than last night.

According to the officer the Arndale is shutting at 5pm and I believe the other shops are doing the same.

and now as a result our office is closing early :pissed: 8) :pissed: 8) :pissed:  :pissed: 8) :pissed:  :pissed: 8) :P  :pissed: 8)

I've been away for a few days watching all this lot on sky news and its sickening!!! All the pillocks with the usual crap about "poor dears" having "feck all going for them" should be lined up first on the wall, these knobs know whats right and wrong and chose to ignore it.
The streets should be taken back by the army, five mins to disperse and feck off home or shoot the bastards, an 11 year old rioter is a rioter and should treated as such! Looters should be shot on sight any dick that thinks its funny to shoot back should get an rpg up his/her arse. Local people should be encouraged to use whatever means to defend their lives/propertys. now is the time to teach the half wits once and for all! come on you political arse wipes grow a pair! Martial law!

if you fire RPGs at looters (who are presumably looting someone's business) - then what's the point of encouraging locals to defend their property?? you would blown it to buggery with your rockets...

You have to be able to handle a bit of collateral damage in the pursuit of justice.

I just hope that when the scum arrested start spouting about their "Human Rights"
Someone will point out the fact that they are animals, and animals dont have "Human Rights"
Then give them a feckin good hiding. (and I mean a GOOD hiding !!!!!!!!)

Apparently, they're just people who are disengaged from their community.

Good news is, their community won't therefore miss the little feck*!

Not at "looters" but knobs who shoot at the authorities!
The time has come to show the lawless ones that most folk for better or the worse off want to live their lives and improve their lot not have a bunch of dicks destroy everything. If we have to kill a few in the process so be it, a lack of real consequences for the idiots is coming home to roost. Shoot them, hang them, flogg them, take your pick, a mans right to live and earn in peace is priority number one scum and human rights knobs who don't like it? tough!
