Good article and think the top 6 is bob on, but us finishing 8th?

Can't see Wolves going down and Swansea staying up. I expect Norwich to make a decent fist of it in their 1st season too.

Teams we wont finish above:
DMBs
Citeh
Chelsea
Liverpool
Spurs
Arse
Stoke
Sunderland
Everton

Rest is much of a muchness...thats my top 9 tho. Fulham and WBA look reasonable for top mid tableish...we could join them with the right signings and strong recovery from a poor start.

Well I think everyone is overestimating Stoke.
They're due a massive run of bad luck. And they're a right bunch of wankers too.

Agree with the last comment. Hated em since they bricked my car in 1994.

Team wise though, if they get Crouch & Palacios they'll have really strengthened the spine of the team and I think they'll pick up a lot of points. Dirty feckers at the back, dirty fecker in the middle, 2 good wide men and a decent target man. I suspect the grass wont need relaying at the Brittannia any time soon.

They were pointing out on the radio theneet that Fulham have pretty much signed f*ck all and have an ageing midfield with no legs.

Also that Everton have really signed f*ck all. I think theres a few who could struggle because of football's new financial realities.

It made me feel a bit better when they rocked round to us and said it would really depend on who we signed up front that would make our season.

I agree. Please sign a striker.

Everton might make my next 5 a next six. Wolves and West Brom will surprise a few I think. Wolves need full backs though. Anybody slating Steinsson and Robinson ought to be thankful we aint got Ronald and George!

I'd swap keepers with 'em
I'd swap Wheater and Knight for Huth and Shawcross (given we've been pimping Cahill out)
ID swap Steinsson for anyone!
I'd swap PEtrov and Eagles for Pennent and Etherington
I'd swap Klasnic/Davies for Walters and Kenwyme...

good outfit stoke! as we all should know by now!!

In bold, I reckon is a load of shite..

Begovic has only looked calamitous to me and Sorensen is shocking.

Jones is a less effective, more expensive Kevin Davies.

Farkin'ell, he's only offering a counter.

I reckoned we should have asked for both Pennant and the gambler when they were for sale.

Stoke are starting to build a decent team. Not cheap tho.

Venables has every confidence in us. He's predicted we'll finish 19th.
