Re: Bolton v QPR
Think we'll go:
Jussi, Steinsson, Cahill, Knight, Robbo, Eagles, Reo-Coker, Pratley, Petrov, Davies, Klasnic Subs: Bogdan, Wheater, Alonso, M.Davies, Muamba, Gardner, Blake
Although if it was up to me, I think I'd err on the side of caution and play Mark Davies in for Klasnic.

Heard Gardner's still a doubt on official site which shows how low we are on numbers. Tope would probably come into the squad if he isn't available.jimbo_bwfc wrote:Think we'll go:

Re: Bolton v QPR
As we will be without our new superstar striker just this once i'd like us to do 4-5-1
Jussi
Steinsonn (oh no) Cahill Knight Robinson (oh no)
Eagles- Reo-Coker Muamba Pratley Petrov
Davies
Klasnic M Davies on bench if we need to chase the game

Jussi
Steinsonn Cahill Knight Alonso ( I believe he's been the better of both him and Robbo over pre season!)
Mavies Reo Coker Pratley Petrov
Eagles
Davies
and once we have Tuncay availible we'll put Eagles onto the right and Mavies to the bench and then have Tuncay playing of Kevo!

Mark Davies won't play

How about Eagles on the right and Mavies in behind?Tals-biggest-fan wrote:Jussi

Re: Bolton v QPR
This is how I would do it
Code: Select all
Jussi
Stein Cahill Knight Robbo
NRC Pratley
Eagles M Davies Petrov
K Davies
Re: Bolton v QPR
I'd do as above but with Muamba in for Pratley and Klasnic in for Davies.
That's not going to happen though. I expect Klasnic and Davies to start in a 4-4-2 with Pratley and Reo-Coker in midfield.

Re: Bolton v QPR
I would definitely prefer Klasnic to Davies in that line up, but I just know it wouldn't happen.
Can't agree on Muamba for Pratley though, let the lad continue what he's been doing pre-season.

The midfield is now our strength.. We should feckin' well use it.
The 4-2-3-1 looks excellent, but won't always give us the width that Coyle craves.
For me it's the best option.. Better than a 4-3-3 which would rely on Eagles and Petrov becoming forwards rather than wingers

Pratley is an attacking midfield player. Not sure why anyone would stick him in front of the back four. Swap him and Mark Davies round and we might have something. NRC to do the workmanlike holding role, Mark Davies to pick the ball up from the back four and make things happen. Pratley to do the Nolan job off Kevin Davies!

Pratley is a self confessed Box to Box player.

I've put Pratley in front of the back four on the line up, in my head him and M Davies would almost swap with one another.
They are both box to box players and can do a job at the back or up front.

Aye, but watch him for Swansea and in pre-season. He's best making runs into the box. He often played in the most forward of Swansea's midfield role!boltonboris wrote:Pratley is a self confessed Box to Box player.
From pre-season that is where he's best IMO. Certainly absolutely not a screener of the back four. Not naturally anyways.

Re: Bolton v QPR
Pretty sure that's what it'll be. Mark Davies on for Reo Coker if it isn't quite working. Problem is striker options and just maybe OC will keep Klasnic on the bench in reserve and go 4-5-1.Tombwfc wrote:I'd do as above but with Muamba in for Pratley and Klasnic in for Davies.
