There's actually been a fairly large hole in the whole thing called midfield for most of the first half and not much linking it to the two people up front.
How often have Muamba and NRKer been paired together in pre-season?

Thought the first 40 mins we were piss poor to be honest...usual suspects, Steinnson, Davies, Klasnic (its a different one who comes off the bench isn't it?) and Petrov. feck me Petrov should have been rubbing his hands together up against Dyer, then Dyers off and he gets someone who must be worse! Really disappointed given his pre season promise.

But what a goal!!! Another thing we'll miss about Gary...

Think Eagles has looked good actually, worked really hard, did a lot of covering for Steinsson. Happy enough with what I've seen from him. Jussi has made some good saves (sounds like Ali has dropped a clanger as well?).

Think they'll score though, Campbell and Bothroyd look dangerous and we've given Taraabt too much space on a couple of occassions. Would like to see Mark Davies come on for Klasnic I think. Front two aren't showing enough at all, no link up, no outlet, just leaving the back four to hoof it. Need a link man.

Not great by any stretch, but delighted to go in a goal up.
Kamara on Sky saying QPR are basically playing four up front - Bothroyd and Campbell with Smith wide left and Taarabt floating in from the right. We have midfielders on the bench, but would OC ever make a defensive switch?

Eagles and Reo-Coker (two silly tackles aside) have done well in that half I thought.

Reo-Coker has surprised me actually, maybe it's just being used to Muamba and his awkward bobbly passes but Reo-Coker has been spraying it around well, and forward too. Thought he was one of these sideways passers.

Oh and Tommy Smith. He's one of them 'thorn in our side' thingys isn't he? That'd be my money for where they might score from.

Can't see how losing midfield is an attacking move.

I'd like to see Mark Davies on for KD. It's not going to happen though!

well it isnt is it, just think we'd flow better from back to front with someone like Mavies in linking the play, making runs and using the ball intelligently....we're wasting it too much at the moment in hoofs up front

doh, my bad, meant to quote DSB - we're on the same page, I was trying to point out that it was weird that bringing on someone like Mavies would be considered 'defensive' when it could improve our chances of scoring.

We definitely need to bring Mark Davies on, he's not afraid to run at players and he's quick too.

Not enough movement upfront TBH we will only be dangerous from a dead ball situation with our front two.

Agreed. Klasnic off and MD to play in front of Muamba and NRK. Fill the hole and create from midfield. Not getting anywhere with those 2 upfront.

We were poor for 35 minutes but they are not much better especially at the back.

Amen to this. On the rare occassions we've worked the ball through midfield we've done ok.
