Re: Bolton v QPR
Good second half performance, and a great win. I always worry about us playing anyone in London apart from West Ham, so I'd have probably been happy with a draw, and after the first 35-40 mins, I hadn't seen much to change that opinion.
Second half, can't quite make me mind up as to whether they went pi$$ poor or we went much better. Think it was a bit of both really.
Some folk would toss off over Petrov, if he managed to lace his boots up right. He was much improved from many of his performances last season, but he didn't stand out over and above anyone else on the team for me. He was certainly in there with all the other players who had a good second half.

Re: Bolton v QPR
that was a very good 3 points and the performance in the second half was an absolute joy. However QPR looked very poor and bereft of any ideas after their "newly promoted over enthusiasm" proved inadequate. Think they will really struggle this year.
Very pleased with Petrov who seems a different player, Klasnic looked sharp and Reo Coker looked full of energy and also seemed tidy on the ball. Cahill was a class above.
A very clever and professional away performance.

I switched off at 0-3. I couldn't stand the tension.
Did we manage to hold on for a point at least ??

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

You've been spending too much time reading BWFCI's posts over the summer.
Course we managed a point, silly.

Kevin Davies is on Goals on Sunday SS1 11:00am for anyone with Sky should be interesting to hear his views on today's game.
1st on MOTD probably not but I will look forward to the analysis.

Agreed. There are times of great work and good ethic, and then he'll blast it off into row z - as someone mentioned before - when there's another option for him. Glad to see him put in a pretty good shift today though. Wish he had hit that open net, or played it flat in the middle for whoever was there (Pratley?)Worthy4England wrote:Good second half performance, and a great win. Got to agree, I think they looked the better team for 35-40 mins.
Thought they might get back in it in 2nd half (Last season syndrome), but the 2nd goal (lucky??) seemed to despirit them, but were we so good or were they so poor.
Still chuffed to bits with win and only 9 more points away to beat last seasons woeful total of 11.

Quite. I think I'll reserve judgement on 'new and improved' Petrov until he's up against a team less dire than QPR.Worthy4England wrote: Some folk would toss off over Petrov, if he managed to lace his boots up right. Anyway, a good day all round. Four goals away from home, England stuff India in the cricket and I learned that retromingent is a word to describe an animal that pisses backwards (as opposed to a woman who eschews the Brazilian-look downstairs).
