My twopenny'th for what it's worth:

At half time, after reading the thread, I was about to post a message when the family arrived. It read: "Never in the field of human football has so much guff been said to so many by so few"
They know I always watch the game come what may so I took the break and it didn't get posted..

I had just written a post that said - "we'll win this 4-0 and muamba will score." It said exactly that! then just as I was about to submit it, there was a powercut and it never got posted...

ahh well....

I did, and wellbefore the game. The 1 is their offside goal.

QPR will be very eager to impress and make their mark in the big time. They'll probably see us as one of the "easier" games. If they throw caution to the winds and attack all out we can probably hit them on the break and much depends on our finishing. Much also depends on our back line performng . We'll create the chances and if we can put them away we'll win. 4-1 should do nicely.

About 700 fans from the Whites on, very 'snug' little ground. Bloody expensive for pies and beer.

QPR pretty much bossed the majority of the first half, Cahill and Knight were playing an absolute blinder. Then Gaz pulls that shot out of nowhere and the away end just goes mental.

Second half was like a completely different side, exploited space, passed and moved.

Great day and can't complain at £12.25 per goal. Plus meet two friendly London whites who seemed to have a catchphrase for everything inclding the quality 'Oh my days' every time we gave the ball away.

I just read on sky sports that this was our "most emphatic away win in six years"! Which got me thinking, who was the last team we won against like that away from home?

I know we're not allowed to cream over players after one performance, but watched Football First last night and Klasnic contributed well I thought. Bringing people into play and not frightened to shoot, as we already know.

But despite the deflection, I can't help but admire his goal. The guy's off balance, running away from goal, covered by a defender, and he gets off sufficient a shot to bulge the net.

I do hope he stays fit and can bag a dozen or so goals this season

On the nail. He looked much livelier and wanting to get involved and he's got some nice vision and reaction, a la setting up Muamba. Pray he stays fit because he's a decent footballer as well as an amazing goal poacher. There was a real sense of team play amongst the Whites yesterday and Eagles is going to be a real force, no doubt. Loved the amount of smiles in the team and Perov's grin nearly split his face at his audacious effort over Kenny's head. Oh, if that had gone in.
