I watch a fair bit of Rangers games and young Gregg Wylde wouldn't be a bad punt at less than a million, he's young, got pace, got skill and under Coyle i think he would turn into a brillant player and he future sell him on for profit

not so sure about that... maybe not affordable - but there are certainly quite a few baggies fans who are quite convinced he'll be sold...

Someone to push Petrov for a place in the side is a must I reckon. Eagles could do it if we can pull off the SWP signing, he popped up on the left a lot yesterday.

Lots of Bolton fans are convinced Cahill is going, but he won't go to West Brom! They want Odemwingie to sign a new deal.

I didn't say Odemwingie was coming to bolton - merely challenging your confident assertion that he is not available!

Well, only today I read that he was in his last year of contract & WBA are fending off one offer and trying to interest him in an extention. I read £4m was offered. In which case yes, let's join the cue.

He's 30. We can't be signing him on a big fee.

£400,000 bid for the Rangers lad rejected.
RANGERS have rejected a bid from Bolton Wanderers for Gregg Wylde - with boss Ally McCoist insisting the club is not seeking any improved offers for him either.

The Trotters tried to secure the Scotland under-21 winger for a fee thought to be in the region of £400,000.

But Gers acted quickly to dismiss their advances and McCoist remains focused instead on trying to secure the 20-year-old on a new long-term deal.

Wylde's representatives have been in discussions with the SPL champions for some time now and the Light Blues manager is keen to see the situation through to a satisfying conclusion.

McCoist said: "The bid from Bolton was not accepted and I don't want Gregg Wylde to go anywhere. He is a good young talent and we feel he has done very well.

"We want him to sign on again with us and we want his progress to continue here at this football club.

"I now have the opportunity to say any further bids we receive for Gregg will not be welcomed either.

"We had a situation recently with Madjid Bougherra where he made it clear he wanted to leave the club.

"Those circumstances were different and to a certain degree, things were taken out of our hands there.

"With Madjid now gone, we are focused more on getting players in rather than getting more players out.

"I'm hopeful with Gregg's case that a resolution can be reached and that we can get to a conclusion we are all happy with.

"This is probably as good a time as ever for a young player to be coming through the ranks at Ibrox and that's the situation for Gregg too so we hope he signs with us again."

Saw him play against Celtic at the end of last season and he looked alright I suppose.

Nice to see us looking to the future a wee bit though.

James Forrest at Celtic is better than Wylde, but doubt they'd sell.

We got something like 700k rising to 1m plus sell on's for Danny Ward so I suppose if we're replacing him like for like with a player Coyle actually wants and end up paying 700-800k for him, we'll have done alreet.

And it says here that his talks have stalled with Wiggin and Newcastle monitoring the situation. I'd like to know how come BWFCI's so sure that he won't become available? :conf:

No SWP in the City squad tonight. Maybe something is due to happen.
