Finished watching the rest of it, still stand by my comment.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Watching The Other Guys.
Edit: It's shit.
Currently watching the Spanish Super Cup.

Just watched "Glorious 39" - strange little Stephen Poliakoff film in which Romola Garai does pretty much exactly what she does in "The Hour" - namely, look very curvey and sensuous, only this time in 1930s clothing rather than 1950s clothing...

Did you watch 'The Scarlet petal and the White' Bish? She was very good in that.thebish wrote:Just watched "Glorious 39" - strange little Stephen Poliakoff film in which Romola Garai does pretty much exactly what she does in "The Hour" - namely, look very curvey and sensuous, only this time in 1930s clothing rather than 1950s clothing...

I have Shutter Island to watch at some point this week. I've heard mixed reviews, including my brother's take on it; "It's 4ucking shit, Our Kid".

If the 'twist' isn't obvious to you after 15mins of this film then you might as well kill yourself.Bruce Rioja wrote:I have Shutter Island to watch at some point this week. I've heard mixed reviews, including my brother's take on it; "It's 4ucking shit, Our Kid".

I enjoyed it. As LL says the twist is all too obvious, but that doesn't spoil the film overall.Bruce Rioja wrote:I have Shutter Island to watch at some point this week. I've heard mixed reviews, including my brother's take on it; "It's 4ucking shit, Our Kid".

Tonight is City v Swansea
LF sent me the blu ray of Once Upon A Time in America - have tried to watch this on at least half a dozen occasions but it's a bit slow for my tastes (same with Blade Runner) - one last go methinks.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I've got 11% free on the box I'll record it in case Swansea win big or exciting.
I recorded the 1st leg of the Spanish Supercup today incase of it being big/close scoreline;
it ended 2-2. Probably because I didn't tape it the second leg will end up being 16-13
I've decided to start trying to record Baseball matches with my teams playing and if there is a good scoreline buy a VHS Tape.
But 11% may not be enough if the games run into 5 hours.
(three hours per live match is what is in the guide.)
Game live broadcasts that I've seen usually run about 3 and a half hours or so

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Can you extract video on yours? You can shove a USB into the Sky box (it's a bit more complex than that IRL) and take the video off to save it forever, but you couldn't then put it or other stuff back on, sadly.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I can only VHS tape.
But I am sure if I had the know-how I could plug the (tv) cords into some thingy which plugs in to a computer where I could use some program that turns visual/sound into a Computer video file.
(I'd want to be able to do that but don't think I will ever be able to)

I think you can do it if you have Windows Media Centre on your computer. It's on one of mine and I didn't realise - not used it though.
