Re: Player ratings
Coming in with an apology to Monty and DLH for misunderstanding Warnock's nonesense. Where he got KD commiting anything that deserved a booking I know not. Why say free-kicks instead of fouls and why was he not moaning at the ref instead of KD? He also claimed KD left a leg training for what was a blatant trip by one of his players. I read him wrong, basically because he was talking bullshxt. As for fouls, what does he see Gabidon's behaviour as?

He was saying Kev is premiership savvy which he undoubtedly is.TANGODANCER wrote:Coming in with an apology to Monty and DLH for misunderstanding Warnock's nonesense. And he did leave a trailing leg for the free kick we "scored" from.
Point he was making is thats the premiership, and QPR better start being "clever" in the same way.
FWIW Davies was very lucky not to be booked for clattering the keeper!

Not having that. He was off towards the box and got tripped by an outstretched leg. Ref was right on top of it.BWFC_Insane wrote:

Warnock is a graceless twunt, but he's right about Davo leaving a leg in to win the free kick for the second goal. Leave your leg in as opponent closes in, kick it against your other ankle, get decision. As "clever" as Suarez was drawing Richardson's foul at Anfield. Lampard did the same thing yesterday but didn't get a penalty.

I've familiar with and have commented often enough about the trailing leg trick in the past, but I'm still saying it didn't happen here. I'm not claiming KD didn't go down atthe contact, butthe defendrs leg was nowhere near the ball, that's a trip and a foul.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Warnock is a graceless twunt, but he's right about Davo leaving a leg in to win the free kick for the second goal. It is both a trip and a foul.. doesn't mean he didn't leave his foot in, which was clear to me, he did!TANGODANCER wrote:I've familiar with and have commented often enough about the trailing leg trick in the past, but I'm still saying it didn't happen here. At the time, I was having a pop at him for not staying on his feet. On replay I said it again... But then we scored, so fair play to him.

Davies gets fouled a lot, but he's certainly learned how to go down easy and win cheap free kicks.

Fair enough TD, I know I'm not going to shake you from your belief in KD any more than I could convince Puskas of the No.14's worth.
