Ha, no nothing to do with that! Just can't imagine West Brom will sell him and if they do not so we could afford him. Just a personal opinion is all!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:14 across: Twit-happy hack (4,5) A__n _i_o_Bruce Rioja wrote:And it says here that his talks have stalled with Wiggin and Newcastle monitoring the situation. Man City's squad numbers go all the way up to 62 FFS!
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Good point but i seem to remember him being on the bench most of last season. Hopefully i am right anyway and the wheels are turningRiviman wrote:Or they have such a big squad there's no room for him !!ChrisC wrote:No SWP in the City squad tonight. Maybe something is due to happen.

Just noticed Robbie Keane has completed his move to LA Galaxy for 6 million!! Spurs certainly know how to overprice and rip clubs off

I heard he was due to play in a friendly against Rhyl tonight! Shows how much they want him.ChrisC wrote:Good point but i seem to remember him being on the bench most of last season. Nixon said on twitter to someone that Wigan's wages offer is best, then Stoke's, and ours isn't close. Reckon we can shuffle away from that one. We're not missing owt. This is a guy who has only ever scored from scuffs and slices and knocks off the shin
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Not sure if I want him now. Think with the team ethic Coyle is trying to cultivate, SWP may be a bit disruptive

Aye we've offered about half what Wigan have offered in wages. End of the day these offers have been on the table for a week and still SWP hasnt really undertaken talks with any of the clubs and seems content biding his time. I get the sense he'd be quite happy to stay at City!hisroyalgingerness wrote:Nixon said on twitter to someone that Wigan's wages offer is best, then Stoke's, and ours isn't close. Are City happy to keep paying his wages to be a cheer-leader though?BWFC_Insane wrote:

It's like the Jeffren/Thiago/Vukcevic/Rivaldo/Veloso sagas all over again. Stuff himBWFC_Insane wrote:Aye we've offered about half what Wigan have offered in wages. I can't see him coming here.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Aye, to be fair both Stoke and Wigan are offering more money than us and he hasn't gone to either of them yet.TKIZ! wrote:It's like the Jeffren/Thiago/Vukcevic/Rivaldo/Veloso sagas all over again. I suspect it's not entirely about money but about SWP finally coming to terms with the fact that he isn't wanted by his boyhood club and his career at the very top level is probably over!

Could understand us getting outbid by Stoke, not Wigan
Is their squad a lot smaller/lighter on wages than ours then?

They sold their only decent player, they are desperate. Wigan offered him 50K a week.officer_dibble wrote:Could understand us getting outbid by Stoke, not Wigan

Would you want us signing SWP for three/four years on that kind of deal? I sure wouldn't!

Prem pair Wylde about Rangers winger
Published 22:58 15/08/11 By Alan Nixon
Bolton are set to beat West Brom to the signature of Rangers’ Gregg Wylde.
The Trotters had an opening bid of £350,000 rejected, but plan to make a new offer for the winger.
Albion also had a £330,000 bid snubbed by Gers.
Rangers do not want to lose Wylde, but he wants more money.
