Re: Bolton v Blue Moonies
There are 28 games a season in which we have a real chance of competing.
This is one of the bonus balls.
Depends whether our number comes up or not. But I'm not going to lose and sleep if we get a good hiding, as they could have single handedly solved the European Sovereign Debt Crisis with their spending this summer.
Whilst we are Greece.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'm just so angry at ol' Aguero. I've been holding onto all this rage ever since Madrid. I might even bring along a sign.

Custis is a fat slob.
Personally I'm looking forward to seeing him play, same as I was Desailly, Shevchenko and other footballing icons to have pitched up at the Reebok.

Absolutely shocking that is, lazy journalism trying to provoke some sort of reaction that they can then label as a scandal.
Jesus, we had a serial spitter playing for us at that time anyway, it's not like we could be pious on that sort of subject is it.

I honestly don't even remember that incident from the Atletico game.

Re: Bolton v Blue Moonies
We're f ucked.
Lawro speaks
Lawro speaks
He gave us three words, them three paragraphs.Bolton v Man City (1600 BST)
Both these sides started with 4-0 wins over newly-promoted sides but this is going to be a very different game.
Bolton thrashed QPR but they were facing a Premier League team who played like they were still a Championship team. Rangers gave them loads of chances, but Manchester City will not give them many.
Whether or not Sergio Aguero starts the game will tell us a lot about City boss Roberto Mancini. I was at the Etihad Stadium to see Aguero destroy Swansea, and Mancini said afterwards that he still needs to get to know his team-mates and is not fully fit.
But the only way to fix both those problems is by playing him, and he surely cannot leave him on the bench again after his performance on his debut.
Aguero was outstanding - and when he came on, the other players suddenly came to life. As a player, you know when someone is pure class and that was the reaction you saw in his team-mates.
We will have to wait and see what Mancini does with his formation in the future, because with Carlos Tevez still at the club and Samir Nasri seemingly on his way, there are a lot of players to fit in.
Mancini may well stick with his tried and trusted formula of two defensive midfielders sat into his back four, but City will have so many different people in front of them who can change games, and they might just have a little bit too much about them for Bolton.
Prediction: 1-2

He had us down to lose at QPR so pay him no mind

To confirm the lazy journalism around this story (which isn't really necessary), there are obvious errors in the MEN take on it ( http://menmedia.co.uk/manchesterevening ... -reception" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ).P.O.S. wrote:hisroyalgingerness wrote:So where's the thread where we're all planning our cauldron of hate towards Mr Aguero?

Paragraph 3:
"Aguero was part of Atletico Madrid’s squad that took on the Trotters in the first leg of their last 16 UEFA Cup tie in February 2008."
Paragraph 8:
His suspension put him out of the second leg at the Vicente Calderon Stadium as Wanderers secured a 0-0 draw to progress to the last 16.

We were playing a last 16 tie in a bid to make it through to the last 16? Outrageous. No wonder we never win anything - IT'S A CONSPIRACY.

So, just to understand Lawrenson's piece a little better...
We beat a promoted side 4-0 and they are championship material, and City do likewise and what?
Clearly they've got a better side, they've spent more money than Bernie Madoff, but don't try to bring pissed logic into it. Just say "City have sackloads more cash, so are more likely to win".

Plus, we beat the team that finished 1st in the Championship away. City beat the team that finished 3rd at home. He's an idiot!Lord Kangana wrote:So, just to understand Lawrenson's piece a little better...

Neither do the Grimmerati (fairy story perpetrators). Somebody must have looked him up on Wiki and seen it. Cue, sensation, hate-campaign, big story, and all without leaving a desk. Typical media crap.Lord Kangana wrote:I honestly don't even remember that incident from the Atletico game.
