For it to AutoSave, I think - before you carry out any work you have to name the file and save it to a folder

Microsoft word 2003 remembers shit if your com crashes. Automatically asks you if you want to go back to it next time you go onto word. Waaaaay easier to use than newer ones too, which are shit.

Right. How the fecking hell do I turn this off on google whereby IT decides what I'M looking for before I've even finished typing? Because it hasn't got a single one right yet, is actually taking me longer to find what I want, but what's more is driving me absolutely fecking mad!

Top right of google - think that looks like a cog. Go into search settings and turn auto-complete off.

Ah, but that's just it - it stops me from typing so that it can display all of its totally inaccurate suggestions!

Angry ? Maybe .... but sure I'm bloody confused.

Why, oh why, oh why, oh why do hotels have those useful, slow, 'put it back in for a second go' bread toasting machines. Useless, bllx, shite which takes about 4 minutes to make your bread go crisper, but certainly not brown.

Just put a few pop-up toasters there you numb b'stards.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It was mentioned about September 11th, and then I bloody said you know who did it? The Americans

May I answer on behalf of my industry here...

1) We can't trust the overwhelming majority of the general populus to not f*ck up even the most mundane of tasks, such as using a pop-up toaster. You're going to have to trust me on this one.
2) Notwithstanding point one, the sheer number of pop-up toasters would be impractical.
3) The three (manufacturer designated) settings on a hotel roatating toaster are as follows:

1. Bread
2. Put it back in for a second go
3. Toast that resembles that furniture store in Croydon

I hope this answers some of those persistant, nagging questions that you have.

Lemmie get this right. A pop-up toaster is some sort of industry specific equipment, not generally found in households up and down the land? :conf:

Oh and on behalf of your industry, tell 'em to talk to the bakers, so there's an outside possibility that the size of the slots in the buggers is large enough to fit more than half a round of bread.

I don't hold chef's responsible LK, but the compliance between the chain hotel owners and the manufactureres of these irritating machines.

Somewhere down the line they have convinced themselves that the results are adequate. Yesterday's, far from unique, experience was to queue to put 2 pieces in, watch them finally disapperate alomg the moving wire until 3 minutes later they reappear a little harder but nowhere near 'toast' to therefore have to return them to said conveyor. A full 7 minutes later I returned to my now tepid breakfast.

I could have done something useful in that 7 minutes, like failed to get any crossword answers, watch Kate Silverton get larger, stared at the extremely attractive French bint across the room. I feel a little of my life was robbed.

I'm unconvinced that 3 or 4 toasters would become the unmanageable gate to Hades you suggest.

Anyway, it pissed me right off !
