Megson Watch

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Poor bastards. If they weren't from Yorkshire, I could almost feel sorry for them.

You mean to say they started with a 4-4-2??

Oh wait... probably a 5-5-0

Poor Grimsby fans, do you have to keep bringing that score up?

They went 1-0 down and replaced a striker with a defender.

I kid you not.

Its like he's purposefully trying to fulfil every stereotype thrown his way.

In the Dulux Cup tonight Gary used all 3 substitutes in the first 17 minutes.
The reason...you are required to use a certain number of players in this
competition who started your previous league game. GM took off 3 regulars
and put in 3 reserves after 15 min- He seems to be treating this Cup with as much
respect as the Europa League.

I don't want to get shot down for supporting him, but that's one hell of a way to make a point that no rules should ever stop a manager from picking the team he wants to.

If Ian Holloway had done that vs Villa to get around the fine, there'd be jubilation.

I actually think he's showing a total lack of respect to the competition - ad BCFC - but he's not under any obligation to have any respect for either.

Whereas I agree to a point, OE, I'd say that there's a world of difference between navigating your way around the vagaries of the Johnstone's Trophy and playing kids in the Quarter Final of European competition against one of the most prestigious sides that our club have ever faced.
May the bridges I burn light your way
