Mixed feelings about this game. Can't see us getting any points, and yet I have this feeling. Would be great if we did get something as it would really shut up some on the idiots predicting us to be relegation strugglers this season.

Looks like De Jong may be out of the game. If he's out we have a good chance of getting something. If he plays, we've no chance. Him and Silva are what make City very good. Put Muamba on Silva's arse all game and we'll win. Easy.

Tevez and Aguero up front, Silva pulling the strings. We're domed, but i'm looking forward to seeing some good stuff, long as we don't get a tatering that is.

LL's preview of this was fantastic. Particularly liked the different spin on us having a 100 % record yet City only had one win all season, and us withdrawing from the FA Cup due to fixture congestion

Re: Bolton v Blue Moonies
I consulted my new electronic crystal ball; dangerous stuff really, as you might just do it one day and find yourself not there. I chanced it anyway and it showed an amazing revelation: we are level on two goals each and then, in the dying minutes, Superkev dives through six Citeh defenders and nods the ball home in an exact replica of the game against Tottenham. Later on MOTD the pundits are all speechless as they crumple their pre-arranged scripts on the wonders of upper-crust football and try to drop them behind their leather reclining thrones before hastily passing on to talk about Manchester United.
City's post-match interview is done by the tea lady as there's no one else to be found. She says it's a shame they lost as they are such nice lads. OC tells what a great side Citeh are and what a wonderful manager and great friend Mancini is and how Bolton's whole side could play for anybody, just anybody.
Mind you, the crystal ball's on approval, so it may be going back as malfunctioning rubbish on Monday. 3-2 The Whites then.....

Optimistically, I'm going for 2-2.

Re: Bolton v Blue Moonies
First key decision today 4-5-1 or 4-4-2. If we should have learned anything in the last 18 months, it's that a weak 4-4-2 versus a strong 4-5-1 gets savaged in the midfield, struggling for room, possession and easily overrun.
City will likely, despite Aguero's heroics go for 4-5-1 and look to introduce the Argentine later. So for me, we need to match that and have either Pratley or M.Davies in for Klasnic and look to keep it tight. Otherwise I fear the likes of Yaya Toure will stifle us
Should be a good game, COYWM

Anyone watching the game anywhere in London later?

Re: Bolton v Blue Moonies
On paper, it's hard to imagine anything other than the first obliteration of the season.
However, I just have this weird feeling. If we play our pressing game, City won't like it. They like teams to sit off and let them play, and equally, they don't like to press the opposition either. If we keep a high tempo for 90 minutes, we can get a point, maybe even all three.
For me, 4-5-1 starting with Davies, and switching to Klasnic around 60-70 minutes is the way to go. Pack the midfield, and play lots of passing football, retaining the ball as often as we can.

Re: Bolton v Blue Moonies
It'll be 4-4-2 with two defensive midfielders. Last year we didn't have NRC so we couldn't play that way, it was pretty much the same way of playing every game.
I think I agree with you, especially against Citeh, but if SKD and Klasnic are not both on the pitch at kickoff I'd be amazed.

City are exactly the sort or side we struggle with, strong athletic and organised at the back and in midfield and with enough up front to unlock you.
Strangely if we were playing Man Utd today I'd fancy us for a point but City for me will become our next Chelsea, just the sort of quality side that our workrate and battling qualities will be matched by and then their quality shine through!
