Muamba off. I still can't tell about that guy. Sometimes I like him, and sometimes it's a wonder he's out there...

I know it's still early on in the season, and Citeh spent more in the past few months than we've probably spent in years, but losing is still sh!tty. I hate Citeh. Good final effort from us though.

should have been far worse. hard to gauge how much that was because city were good and we were bad today.

hope coyle starts at least considering zat knight's position in the team.

Positives:
A great performance, really energetic and never gave up.
Klasnic's goal was amazing.
Eagles looks great, really grew into the game.
Mark Davies looked great, can run through defences, nobody else in our team can.
Petrov smiling, and a wondercross for Klasnic's goal.
Cahill looks a world class defender.

Negatives:
Jussi looks a liability, first goal was outrageous keeping, the third he went to ground way too early. Most keeps would make themselves big, he just flapped. If I were a centre back, I'd be scared shitless having him behind me.
Reo-Coker. I lost count of the amount of times he gave the ball away through a bad pass or header. If he has to pass more than 6 metres, it's shite.
Muamba: If all we want from a midfielder is that he is fit and can tackle, play Cahill there. Mark Davies should be ahead of him, if Reo-Coker is also playing.
No subs. Get that permit sorted for Tuncay, and fast. Absolutely no alternative to Davo/Klasnic, no subs, nothing.
The ref let Davies get fouled 7 times, and still didn't book a City player. He blew for fouls, but gave no cards.
We were really giving it to City, then stopped playing the way we were and starting booting it long. Petrov was basically out of the game because of it at the end.

Other:
Knight still scares me. He can look great at times, then just make a blunder that costs a goal.
Klasnic looks up for it, but at times gave possession away.
Still not convinced that Robbo and Petrov make a good partnership.
If Silva gets injured or suspended, City are fecked.

Eh, to be honest he was only culpable for the third and the pressure we came under wasn't down to him or the backline. Without forwards that press we're always going to be flooded in midfield and this City team likes it like that. Given their calibre in attack we were quite lucky to get away with three, (though bizarrely they were some of the most preventable chances)

Muamba and Reo Coker did well out of an untenable situation - outnumbered in the centre with very little support. They weren't going to run midfield in that situation so expectations have to reflect that.

This team is going to look so much better when Tuncay gets in - he's an extra man in midfield as well as attack. His pressing game will give our midfield the breathing room to create.

The difference today was that they had the better players but the heart we shown to get down and then pick ourselves up and continue pushing when any other team would of given up was fantastic....
