Keveh - crop the pic in to omit the outside bits, run it through Photoshop or similar making red-, blue- and green-tinged versions, then hang it quietly on a wall in one of those three-panel picture frames. Still got ours on the wall a decade later and we still get new visitors staring, pondering, realising and exclaiming.

Oh and don't tell Mrs Keveh - scale, print, mount, wrap, present, be loved.

We found out with the twins. it was nice to know, felt it helped me bond with them - and helped with naming! We somehow managed to keep it secret from everyone else (except i think thebish may have guessed one of them at least was a girl when he came to help me put cots together and i'd inadvertedly left a pile of more girly clothes in the nursery...)

Good luck with the naming arguments, remember, she should have the last say, shes giving birth to it! That deserves some kind of reward!

First of all, congratulations. Your life will change forever, for the better. Of course you will be spending less time on here and in the pub with your mates but welcome to the club.

Secondly, please don't find out the sex of your baby. It is one of the joys of the birth not knowing. Of course it helps a little with the bedroom colour choice and the clothes but he/she will probably spend the first 8 weeks in your room. You will have plenty of time to do the decorating. Do the prep work first and save the painting until after. The clothes are just the same. Your baby will only be in new born ones for the first couple of weeks before you will need the next size up. Buy yellow and white ones (Of course the Bolton bib and baby grow will be good for either).

When you make that phone call to parents, relatives and friends to tell them what you have had, it makes it all the more special. There is less fun telling everyone - Yes we had the boy (Or girl) that we knew about 6 months ago.
