I still remember the day he left.

DAD - "Son, who is your favourite Bolton player?"
ME - "Sasa"
DAD - "Now, who is your favourite Villa player?"
ME - "erm, Bosnich?"
DAD - "No, think about it, who is your favourite Villa player?"
ME - "Noooooooooooooooooooo   "

Don't think you were alone in that LL.

I might see if I can find his goal against Chelsea and post it. Good times!

" That was so good I'll do it again" could have been his motto. Beat three players then turned round and ran back at them for another go. inevitably, he then lost the ball. Great character but an individual player rather than a team man. Remember a lot of good bits, but a lot of frustrating one's too.

I recall shouting one match " ... fckg hell Curcic, you're shite !!"

About 200 faces turned to me, puzzled looks on each.

I said " ..... well, he NEVER beats that 5th man .... "
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Couldn't wait to see the back of the prick. Worst team player ever to wear the shirt.

I was at the airport in America when I read he'd gone.

I can't have been the only person who really wasn't that arsed, was I? (based on the fact I thought he would unbalance the side in the first and wouldn't be up to it physically).

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

fecking Elton Welsby. "If Gareth Hall can score against these, then so can I."

Probably bitter because we were in the Premiership and his beloved Tranmere Rovers were not. Cock.

The article about him on TW written by EnzoGambaro was one of the best we've had on here I think...
