I'm sure they'll find out soon enough that actually they don't. It'll be full for the bigger games and local derbies, but I'm convinced they'll be getting some shit attendances when the likes of us (but not actually us, as we're first home game...) rock up. Which of the untermensch have they got as a midweek in february, say?

Yes but London has a much bigger passing trade like corporates etc.

From a brief scan of the fixtures they don't seem to have any midweeks at all except Dec 20. Neither do we, except Arsenal (presumably rearranged from CL?) on Tue 31 Jan. Which is mildly interesting.

Interestingly enough, the BBC were reporting yesterday that new signs were plastered all over Loftus Road... "QPR - Boutique Club".

Which is w*nk in whole new ways as of itself, but I also noticed the attendance at a shade over 15k.

Now as I hear it, we sold about 750 tickets. I'm not sure what the away allocation was, but again I hear it to be c 1500. Which by my rough maths leaves about 2.5k spare seats in the home ends.

Its not great for a first game of the season, after a 15 year absence, is it? Maybe they've overestimated the draw of "Boutique" in Shepherds Bush (I always fell the temptation to say fnar when that name is mentioned. Childish, I know). Or is the recession having much more affect in the SE this time around, as has been reported?

I noticed while watching the game that about half of the bottom tier behind the net had a cover over it stopping people sitting there anyway - I don't know why it was there but that might have had some impact on the attendance too
