Sick of people telling me he has potential. He has potentially the worst positioning I have ever seen, Blake was covering left back at one stage last night as he casually strolled back from the centre of the park.
Even if we played him as a winger, he isn't the best passer and he has very little pace.

He has a funny shaped head too, which would have put me off from the start had I been the scout involved.

It's awkward how bad Alonso is: slow, clumsy, poor touch. OC must have seen "Real Madrid" on his CV and got over-excited.

Alonso was an absolutely terrible signing. 2M down the drain, ok nobody could forsee what he'd do, but equally its rather shocking that Coyle described him as the "future Spanish left back".

He's abysmal. In every single way. Looks like he'll fall over half the time and defensively, is worse than Knight and thats saying something.

Knight, Wheater, Alonso and Bogdan came out with zero credit yesterday. Riley outshone all of them!

Alan Nixon probably recommended him.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Rushall Olympic getting shot of him in return for a bag of trackies might just have kept my hand on our ha'penny.

Beaker?
I made the comparison last year on another forum. Nobody went with it.

He played well until Petrov decided he wasn't bothering playing in his own half

I'm starting to think you're a fullbackist.

I've just noticed the Telegraph has the headline "Battered Bolton bounce back".

From what?

Anyone?

From that one goal macclesfield scored? Or from that "battering" at the weekend where we lost by a single goal to a team who had one player costing much more than our entire squad? :conf:

Great research they put in there. What a joke.

From comments it seems like all our defenders are crap ! How do we ever win a football match when we dont have any good forwards either???
