My view is it was the Saucerpeople in conjunction with the Rand Corporation and the Reverse Vampires in a dastardly plot to destroy the meal of dinner.

Talk about falling at the first hurdle.

Talking to players agents, never makes it into the press honest. Fook me.

The main thing that annoys me is that when Manure, Chelsea, City & Liverpool find a player they want they don't mess about and they don't insult clubs with silly offers.. They just get on with it and pay up.. Why do Arsenal have to be tools and piss about?

Because we are the only club out of that lot you just mentioned to live within our means. Sometimes I think that's good, we don't run the risk of going belly up if an owner wants their money back, but other times it frustrates cos our desire to get a bargain and refusal to pay ridiculous wages means players pass us by.

Clearly we do have money to spend this time after the sales of nasri and fabregas but wenger refuses to pay over the odds for anyone. He's a skinflint that way. Not saying it's right or wrong, understand why it pisses you off, just seems to be the way it is... May well cost him his job in the long term...

Boyata may have been a stop gap for the time being i guess. But he isnt to the level Cahill has been for us. Were talking a CB who has played god knows how many EPL games for Villa and Bolton. Coyle would have cards in his sleave incase Cahill is sold, but when your left with one working week to organise things once you know he is going its a different story.

You cant exactly tell a potential signing/club "we want your player, but only if ours is sold, and then we want to make a deal happen in 2 days, but only once we get the money for our now former player ..."

I guess that why its bad for both teams, Arsenal are going after there 3rd choice defender, and Bolton have had to go the whole transfer market without the Cahill money. Its been brown and sliding down the porcelain for both teams.

Boyata doesn't have Cahill's ability with the ball etc.. But he's still an excellent defender and more than adequate for us. Fingers crossed he'll patner Gaz for the rest of the season, so we can we can feck that stump Knight off to ruin the Reserve team

Idea: we get Cahill to sign a new contract with a greatly-reduced release clause—say £9M. At that price he'll still have clubs queuing up to sign him, and we get to keep him for a year without losing him for free.

Yeah, if you were Wenger, you'd just stick in another £6m bid tomorrow morning

Yes obviously but either Arsenal or Bolton must have given the 'scoop' to John Cross or Alan Nixon (both at Mirror but not sure who put it out first). My view is that it was Bolton.
John Cross said we made a bid but didn't say how much for and Alan Nixon wrote the article about the £6m offer.
Yes Abs is already at it on another forum.

Playing next to Knight can make anyone look good, but Im not impressed at all. He was all over the place today and he always seem to be far from where you want him to be. If I was wenger I would withdraw any interest straight away
