Had a BBQ planned for tonight, at a friends house.
Have to stay indoors and drink all their booze instead.

what is it with bbq's? everybody i know gets proper excited by them, as soon as theres the faintest bit of sunshine everybody goes nuts 'BARBEQUE, WOOOOO'

Also, have we always barbecued this much as a country? i cant remember having them anywhere near as much as we do these days when i was a kid!?

dont get me wrong, i dont mind them, but not sure what all the fuss is about?

on the plus side, you never get a 'dry' bbq, they are always a massive piss up... maybe thats it!

I disagree. What we should do is call a barbeque because the weather's decent. What we actually do is say "I'm having a barbeque on Sunday" when it might end up snowing for all we know!
