1008: THE INSIDER

Bolton manager Owen Coyle tells BBC Sport's Paul Plunkett that a deal for Liverpool striker David Ngog could still happen: "He's a very good player and I've been a big admirer for a long time. We'll have to wait and see if it happens today."

Stokies seem a sensible bunch. Don't get their dislike of Ngog. Think Bolton have done well there. Now for a winger (on loan)

10.23am: Wanderers have agreed to sign David N’Gog from Liverpool for £4million. The French striker, who has also been a target for Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers, sealed a deal this morning to become Owen Coyle’s seventh new arrival of the summer. More to follow.

Clubs (and Coyle is a representative of a club) won't announce a deal till medical etc all done and deal formally signed!
