Probably went on the Tuncay+Boyata loan fees and wages.

Loans probably cost us a couple of million in wages, which was the SWP fee.

I suspect NGog is it, unless Harry gets Cahill.

So then what would we have done about SWP's wages?

Who knows, but it was affording his wages that was always the issue?

I'm guessing that Tuncay only progressed once SWP became less likely?

Owen Coyle is in the market for a full-back on deadline day, and Spurs will hope to tempt him by offering centre-back Sébastien Bassong as a replacement for Cahill, as well as one of Vedran Ćorluka or Alan Hutton at a cut price.

Wages is a massive issue but I'd take two of those three plus $7m for Cahill. Corluka can cover central as well. Maybe Hutton as a right winger?
What could've happened; did.

So you'd take £4.2 Million in real money?

What's your $4.2 mean?

As a slight aside Nixon reckons SWP's agents still haven't negotiated his pay off from City which is why QPR move held up.

So he wants a pay off even though, QPR are matching his wages? Sounds like a bullet we dodged there to me.

Smells very "odour of agent" prompted to me.

Reckon we'll only see another loanee come in, unless we sell Cahill....Which I don't think we will. Could see Droopy coming in at last minute like a fat bird at closing time....Hoping we've lowered our standards.
Which I doubt we will, could see Cahill signing an extension with a revised clause and or improved terms after window.
As long as the wind blows, fortunes can change.

Eagles, Reo Coker, Mears (unfortunate and no fault of Coyles), Pratley,Tuncay and now N'Gog; am I the only one thinking OC's done pretty well with limited resources? Lee was a real blow, but with Holden almost ready to roll again it looks far from suicidal. Fat lady's not even started warming up yet either.
