As a side issue, Nixon takes stick on here, but he's bob on again!
This reminds me of one of those letters they used to have in Smash Hits written by some 12 year old girl.

I'm guessing Alan is also luuurrrvvlly and gorgeous too.

A YouTube video shows every touch he made for France against Portugal. I just hope this is from a long time ago and he has improved since then.

I must say that I have never seen him play and I know absolutely nothing about him.
Theres games against Ecuador and Nigeria too. Definitely needs work and to learn when to try something and when to give it easy....Not unlike a certain Mr Sturridge. Who also has a similar vid of his game against Malaysia Allstars (now theres a team!) To my mind he will either learn and be a big asset ala Sturridge or be another Weiss and he can do one in Jan.... risk you take with youngsters.
As long as the wind blows, fortunes can change.

Aye well better than your predictions of 'we won't sign anyone'

Actually, I think I was pretty spot on in claiming we'd break about even whilst probably shaving something off the wage bill.

And whilst we're at it, I said we wouldn't sign SWP before the City game.

This guessing lark is easy once you've had enough stabs at it.

He's got bastard quick feet, but absolutely no end product. He is also tiny and looks about twelve. Essentially a negative of Weiss (black, left footed). Only a child though, so hopefully will improve. He's the one Chelsea got banned for about an hour from signing players for tapping up.

Ah, he rings a bell now.

Still, as Tom says, its an improvement on playing with 10 when the Balkan Messi is injured.

I imagine we've achieved a fairly small net spend. But no point splitting hairs. We've spent some money, done some decent loan deals, and not sold Cahill, will do me!

Or when he can't be arsed. Don't think he will start many. If Petrov is out I think we'll see Eagles left and Tuncay or even Holden right. Whenever I have seen him he doesn't seem particularly mature, but he does have unbelievable feet and would be a good option towards the end if we are struggling to break teams down. And as pointed out, an extra body out wide. we now have seven for four positions, which isn't too shabby.

So exactly as I said then. And the small net spending taking place after the season started. As I said.
