Re: Kakuta Signs (Loan)
isn't he the one chelsea got in all the trouble over buying? if they think he wa worth all the court fee's and subsequent hassle i'm happy to give him a run out
Re: Kakuta Signs (Loan)
he was great on football manager...
Re: Kakuta Signs (Loan)
I am not really excited about this one. I can't see anything 'special' about Kakuta. This is the match highlight for Gael against Ecuador.Nobbys Belly wrote:Theres games against Ecuador and Nigeria too. Definitely needs work and to learn when to try something and when to give it easy....Not unlike a certain Mr Sturridge. Who also has a similar vid of his game against Malaysia Allstars (now theres a team!) To my mind he will either learn and be a big asset ala Sturridge or be another Weiss and he can do one in Jan.... risk you take with youngsters.malcd1 wrote:A YouTube video shows every touch he made for France against Portugal. I must say that I have never seen him play and I know absolutely nothing about him.

Poor first touch, poor control, no real trickery and not particularly fast. I really can't see him making much of an impact TBH.

Jeez. He's a young lad who obviously has tremendous potential and ability, but hasn't quite realised it yet.malcd1 wrote:I am not really excited about this one. He'll have a chance here under a good young manager to make an impact.
He provides good cover for our wide positions. Nowt to moan about.
Re: Kakuta Signs (Loan)
Let's see how it pans out. At least Coyle addressed the needs of the club something not always done in the past. One gets the feeling he has confidence that Chungy will be back before the end of the season though.

Re: Kakuta Signs (Loan)
Isn't this the chap who broke is leg and ankle a couple of years back and took him out of the game for a year?
He's probably still recovering slightly from it...certainly would have delayed his development. Give him time. He be reet.

We're paying 50% of his wage, £15,000 per week.
That means the kid who has done f uck all on his career is on THIRTY THOUSAND POUNDS A WEEK.
Madness.

at chelsea 30 thousand pounds is nothing
Re: Kakuta Signs (Loan)
I have said I have never seen him play and from the video's he doesn't look anything special. I also said he doesn't look good enough to make an impact for us this season.BL3 wrote:What a plum.malcd1 wrote:I must say that I have never seen him play and I know absolutely nothing about him.

Because people shouldn't judge from a 2-minute Youtube video ffs.
Daniel Braaten looked like a world-beater on Youtube.

Judging players from a youtube video is the ultimate load of balls though.malcd1 wrote:I have said I have never seen him play and from the video's he doesn't look anything special. Chelsea went to a lot of bother to sign him, he's played some champs league games for them and obviously at one point was rated as an absolutely top prospect. As has been pointed out since he had his injury he's stalled a bit, but I think you have made yourself look a bit stupid. There is a video of him knocking around where he looks better than Messi. You can show owt on youtube if you want to.
I think the view of Chelsea's scouts that he was at one point the best young player around may be a little more pertinent than just some bloke watching some youtube videos!

Re: Kakuta Signs (Loan)
Bit daft to speculate how good/bad he'll be for us before he's even kicked a ball isn't it?

Re: Kakuta Signs (Loan)
No, because he's played football for other teams so people can see him in order to speculate.
Re: Kakuta Signs (Loan)
All I said was he doesn't 'LOOK' very good on the YouTube video. I even said twice I have never seen him play. The video shows all his input (I think) in a couple of matches and from those video he doesn't look too impressive. More of a Weiss than a Sturridge.
I would love him to turn out to be another fantastic Coyle find. I have not made my mind up about him. I have never seen him play but it would surprise me if he makes a big impact in the first team.
Believe me if you saw a video of me playing football you would make your mind up straight away that I am a bit crap and you would be correct.
