Isn't Long the guy who was done for corruption?
Re: Stuy on tele
Depends how you define corruption. He was fined and banned for backing Saints to lose a game against Bradford that he wasn't playing in, based on his knowledge that we'd make wholesale changes with the cup final the week after. He's a complete loon and a bit of an idiot, but on the pitch he was one of the most exciting players I've seen. That's why I love him!

If you do weights in the gym and run around for a few hours every day you eat a lot.
When you stop running around for a few hours every day and maybe loosen up on the gym you're stomach is still the same size so you'll want to eat the same amount.
Best thing to do would be to slowly cut back on the training while slowly decreasing portion size. But hey that's boring, who wants to do that?

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Such as thisLofthouse Lower wrote:That'd be because he's been battling a life threatening illness.
"In July 2009 Hartson received chemotherapy after being diagnosed with testicular cancer which had spread to his brain.[23] It was later reported the cancer had spread to his lungs and that he remained in a "critical condition" following emergency surgery.[24] The treatment was successful and by December of that year it was reported that the cancer had been virtually eradicated from Hartson's body although he would have more surgery and treatment to come"
Being a bit overweight pales in comparison
What goes around may still come around
Re: Stuy on tele
I expect that the weight will be as much to do with the steroids he has to take after the cancer treatment.

Neville Southall has a medical condition that he treats with pie and chips.

Possibly, but Hartson's always had the propensity to run to fat anyway.BwfcDan wrote:Correct.Riviman wrote:I expect that the weight will be as much to do with the steroids he has to take after the cancer treatment.

You also tend to put weight on after having one of your bollocks lopped off. Testosterone / Oestrogen inbalance and all that.BwfcDan wrote:Correct.Riviman wrote:I expect that the weight will be as much to do with the steroids he has to take after the cancer treatment.
He was hardly a supreme athlete even in his playing days, but with his illness(es) it's pretty obvious he's going to balloon a bit
