Camerons "tough love" message to deal with problems in our society. What does that mean? Apart from being a blatant piece of empty rhetoric designed to appease the left and right of his coalition....

We're used to politicians making empty statements and promises but this really is the lowest point.

Add to it that the only seeming answer he has is "earlier intervention" into these "troubled families". What does that mean? Is that not just more social workers, to try and sort these families out? And therefore is that not forcing us down the path even further towards the much ridiculed by Tories "nanny state" that was apparently Labours fault?

so far it seems to involve shutting down the very effective early-intervention architecture that we DO have - namely, Surestart...

Was just out doing it and the holding bracket for the wheel snapped. So have ordered one, gives me an excuse not to finish.

And to top it, the cat has just sunk its claws into my hand, ouch. The only plasters we have are children's ones, with monkeys on them.
