Is The Departed the original Japanese version or the Hollywood remake? Good film either way. Buena Vista worth watching too.

Been enjoying seeing some bits of the Rowing Championships, couldnt give a toss about rowing but Bled is ace. Took some great photos when I visited there a few years ago, its a must visit place if you go to Slovenia, lovely country.

Maybe they could come back to him?

Though I heard Tony Blair will be the next Doctor!

Last night I put on an unopened dvd: The Comedy Festival Gala,
It wasn't good as it reminded me of watching it on the telly and being able to change the Channel!
Plus the two years I got in the dvd set (2007-08) don't have Tim Vine, rendering sad to own

Ah cool, I take it you're going to Ljubljana? It's pretty quaint for a capital city you can pretty much see everything within a couple of days - although Sunday seems to be very very quiet there's not much open, so that's probably the best day to head out to somewhere like Bled!

In Ljubljana, a trip up to the top of the big hill that overlooks the city is good, you can either use the cable car or test yourself with the punishing climb up the path to the castle on top. If it's a nice day you'll be treated to great views of the Alps. Castle was being renovated when I was last there so it should be finished by now.

Other than that there's not a lot of standout landmarks or places you must visit, its just a really nice place to wander around and stumble across shops and bars, and the locals are really nice. Make sure you try some Burek from one of the fast food stalls on the streets it's immense, like a flaky cheese or meat pasty, but that doesnt even begin to do it justice! Best place I saw for it was at a cafe opposite the train station, I returned numerous times!

Im pretty sure HRG was there not too long back so he might be good to tap up for up to date info about the place, enjoy!

incidentally...

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film was trailored yesterday - released december I think - with a pumping track which sounded like a cover of Led Zep...

looked it up when i got home - and indeed it is - by Trent Reznor (formerly of nine Inch Nails)
