Can someone clarify for certain who the last Bolton Wanderers player who scored for England was before Cahill?

Only, The Sunday Times (pacifically Northcroft) has it as Lofthouse, and I want to write an angry letter about how he's a lazy know-nowt shite if it doesn't involve the top 4. Which of course would be embarassing if it actually was Lofthouse.
