Thank the sweet baby Jesus for that. I was beginning to worry that ol' red nose wasn't going to bleat on about protection at all this week.jimbo_bwfc wrote:Different season, same old shite from Ferguson.

The referee is Andre Mariner who sent Evans off for the injury to Holden in March. Hopefully he won't be intimidated and influenced by the cheating Ferguson.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

No it's not.. It's 34 year old Kevin Davies talking about 19 year old PhillipP.O.S. wrote:http://menmedia.co.uk/manchesterevening ... n-ram-raid

Seems like a right cocky shit, I especially like the comment about Davies being "a big strong boy". That's 19 year old Phillip talking about 34 year old Kevin Davies...

I particularly like this bit - written without a trace of ironic intent!
Andre Marriner is the man in charge and it is hoped he doesn't cave in under pressure from the home crowd - which is the single biggest issue with many so called "first-class referees".
Would not like to be the Ref tomorrow!

Well I'm just hoping for a jolly clean game and that no matter what the final score is, I just hope that football will be the overall winner. I'd also like to hear a quick rendition of for he's a jolly good fellow for Sir Alex at the end of the match.

Home Team Score Away Team Time
Bolton v Man Utd 17:30
TEAM NEWS
Bolton's new signings David Ngog, Gael Kakuta and Dedryck Boyata are all in contention to make their debuts.
Stuart Holden played for the reserves in midweek but is not yet ready for a first-team return.
Manchester United's Javier Hernandez is set for his first start of the season in place of the injured Danny Welbeck.
Captain Nemanja Vidic remains out with a calf strain, Antonio Valencia is not fit to return and Rafael is a long-term absentee.
MATCH PREVIEW
Even two weeks on, it's quite shocking to think how easily Manchester United stuck eight goals past Arsenal at Old Trafford in their last match and it'll be interesting to see what they'll do for a follow-up at the Reebok Stadium.
Bolton will be ready for them though and twice took the lead against Sir Alex Ferguson's men in this fixture last season only to be pegged back and forced to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw.
Owen Coyle's team have got goals in them and scored twice past Manchester City's Joe Hart two weeks ago. The problem though was keeping Man Utd's noisy neighbours out at the other end in a 3-2 defeat.
Safe to say then, we can expect David de Gea, who in a Spanish newspaper interview this week seemed unfazed by recent criticism, to be given a decent workout by Bolton's forwards.
The champions have an excellent record against this weekend's opponents and haven't lost to them for four years now. Bolton have taken just one point and scored three goals in the seven meetings since a Nicolas Anelka strike secured a 1-0 victory back in November 2007.
All the signs point to an away win, with Manchester United having scored 13 goals in their first three Premier League games this season. Wayne Rooney, who I think has benefited enormously from not having a busy summer, seems to enjoy playing against Bolton too with six goals in nine league appearances against them.
MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
Man Utd have won 11 of their last 13 meetings against Bolton.
In 12 Premier League visits to Bolton, Manchester United have lost just once (1-0 in November 2007).
This is the 120th meeting between the sides. Manchester United have won 52 times, Bolton 42 and there have been 25 draws.
Bolton
Bolton need to score twice to total 300 home goals in the Premier League.
Bolton's new signing David Ngog has a Premier League goal scoring rate of 264.6 minutes per goal. Kevin Davies' ratio is 401 minutes per goal and Ivan Klasnic has an impressive rate of 119.2 minutes per goal.
After their match with Liverpool, the Trotters had scored with 38% of their attempts at goal this season, the best conversion rate of shots to goals in the top flight.
Manchester United
A win would give Manchester United their 200th away victory in the Premier League.
Against Arsenal, Wayne Rooney became Manchester United's leading scorer in the Premier League with 107 goals, surpassing Ryan Giggs. His first goal against the Gunners was his 150th for the Red Devils in all competitions.
United's 13 goals from their opening three games is the second best total ever in the Premier League, behind Chelsea's 14 in 2010-11.
David De Gea has made 17 saves this season, more than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
There is a whisper, only a whisper mind, that despite his rousing defence of David De Dea today and his appeal for him to be given greater proteciton from the ref, Alex Ferguson will drop the young Spaniard for tomorrow's trip to Bolton. Take him out of the Kevin Davies firing line, as it were.
