Seem to remember singing 'ooh aah Branagan' with much joy.

The Mixu one was an early favourite, maybe because of my love of 2Unlimited though. No limits indeed.

Did I imagine it, or did that chant start off life as "yellow" away from home?

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Always a great craic. I have fond memories of an Irish bar in Marseille running through all the old'uns when we were over for that match. I'm trying to get together a collection of many as I can at the moment, to give the younger fans a bit of a hand keeping the traditionals going for a few years longer.

Sorry if it's been done, but I've been away....................A favourite seventies classic.....

One man went to mow
went to a mow a meadow
one man with his rubber johnny and his supersonic saugage dog
went to mow a meadow

two men went to mow...etc ...etc

Never saw the reason for it; but always went down well. :oyea:

I thought it was :

"One man and his supersonic sausague dog with rubber johnnies on his feet, went to mow a meadow"
"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"

The classic to the West Brom fans when they blew a lead at Burnden was

You're not boinging any more. you're not boinging any more.

I believe it was Boing boing Owen Owen (repeat ad infinitum, as Owen Coyle had just scored the last minute equaliser).

I'm absolutely positive that the Burnden Paddock belted that out. It was a cold rainy night in autumn '93, they scored what looked like the winner with a late goal, they started doing the "Boing, boing, Baggies, Baggies", Owen Scored we took up the refrain and as above and all boinged.

There weren't many on that night though, maybe 9k tops, so many people may not have seen it.
