Don't think they'll be far out.
4–5–1?!

hmmmm.... abandonning the 4-4-2???
Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
God I hope so. Then when we get bummed 4-0 I hope OC realises that that doesn't mean 4-4-2 was right, just that 4-5-1 stopped it being 8-0.

If this is the team then I see Mavies playing in between the striker and the midfield... Just wish he'd feck off pickin Muamba, can't he see how poor of a football he is!TANGODANCER wrote:If media reports are to be believed I think Fergie's pulled the human twiglet out of it. I say, especially after reading the OC interview in FFT, go 4-4-2 and go out swinging. If they score 8 we might score 4.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

ok....VERY ambitious! But if you can't be confident then what's the point in sitting through the game expecting a hammeringthebish wrote:chaddy_bwfc wrote:i can see us scoring a few goals today, a couple for the new boys too! im going for an ambitious 3-2 win! COYW!

You're gearing yourself up for a disappointment! If you expect a hammering and it's a draw or a win you're pleasantly surprised, and if it is a hammering it's not too badchaddy_bwfc wrote:ok....VERY ambitious! Did a very accurate simulation of this game with my brother on fifa, it's going to finish 5-5.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
I can see half of that result being right
My worry is, I'm not sure how much of our defence we can shore up in time to give Man Utd a game. And I fear our inability to keep the ball will cause us to suffer.
All they need to do is rock up with a 4-5-1 with a central midfield packed of the likes of Andersen, Giggs and Cleverley and I fear another case of rolling over and having the tummies tickled.

Tuncay has tweeted that he 'has a feeling', I don't see how we could lose this now.

Just had a teener bet with one of 'em that it'll still be 0-0 at 5 o'clock.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Its his own fault. Texted me we'd be crying at 5. I said we wouldn't as it'd be 0-0. And even helped him out with a smiley. He reacted by saying how the f*ck could I think that as they're ace and will smash us. So asked him to put his money where his mouth is.

Yuuuup, well, you did feel the need to start an entire thread about an off hand comment by a vacuous WAG reported by a bottom feeding rag-tag journo, so I'm gonna hold off on giving a shit.BWFC_Insane wrote:For an intelligent poster thats one of the worst posts I've seen!Prufrock wrote:God I hope so. But seriously, if we go 4-5-1 and get beat, I hope it doesn't mean OC discards the idea and reaffirms his marriage to 4-4-2. An exaggerated version of which is apparently one of the worst posts you've seen. Oh my.

Still prefer us to stick with 4-4-2 at home. I can't see how we could markedly improve on our form there last season. Its away thats the issue, not the formation per se.
