Never, ever got it. Absolute load of irrelevant bollocks that for some reason BBC Television thinks we're all somehow eager to see?!William the White wrote:am now going to watch Last Night of the Proms

Got Rhod Gilbert and the cat that looked like Nicholas Lyndhurst on.
Went to the show, thought it was very funny.

I don't think the BBC or anyone thinks we're all eager to see it...Bruce Rioja wrote:Never, ever got it. Absolute load of irrelevant bollocks that for some reason BBC Television thinks we're all somehow eager to see?!William the White wrote:am now going to watch Last Night of the Proms
But i think the proms are brill (and this year managed to get to one for the first time - and had a great night).
A major classical music concert every night for more than two months, with some fantastic orchestras and choirs, in one of the biggest venues in the UK, and that you can get into for a fiver, and played this year to 94% of capacity... Impressive, i reckon...
Last night is just daft, really. But sometimes it's ok to be stupid crazy daft. And I suspect the ratings are at least as good as the average Sat night on BBC1...
Re: What are you watching tonight?

Eh? They broadcast it on BBC1. That doesn't suggest to you that they consider the populace of Britain eager to see it? Fair enough.William the White wrote:I don't think the BBC or anyone thinks we're all eager to see it....
