Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
On reflection, that could probably have gone better..
but only a bit... Men against boys really.. especially if we remain married to 4-4-2 against markedly superior opposition..
Move along nowt to see here Norwich was always the more important outing..
Slightly concerned that JUSSI'S found his concrete boots again...

Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham

I left early and really don't give a flying f*ck what some bit of a kid thinks!!
If you think staying to watch the Mancs get another one or two (which was entirely possible) is supporting a f*cking shambles of a team and makes you a "better" fan then lord help us! no wonder the countrys in such a friggin mess.

Can someone please tell me why 'anyone' should actually be expected to stay until the end when we're 5-0 down...with the opposition taking the piss - perhaps the fans should have stayed and clapped the team off after that - behave !

It's your prerogative to leave early, mate. You paid for your ticket. Doesn't mean I have to agree with it, any more than your madcap ideas for fixing the country.Hoboh wrote:wow f*ckin super hero!truewhite15 wrote:I can't say I'm overly surprised...keveh wrote:Lol, so you left early then?Lofthouse Lower wrote:Do one.Sponge wrote:just to reiterate—those who left early: PATHETIC

You don't have to agree with someone leaving early but there is no reason to start start callig anyone who does! Its bad enough a result like this to a team I feckin' hate more than Bin Laden, then have some "superfan" have a go.
Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
I believe in staying till the end no matter what taking the pain is all part and parcel of being a fan when the good result comes it feels so much sweeter when you have endured the pain.Hoboh wrote:Aye and those who stayed watching that shite are knobs then? This my own personal belief but I can understand people leaving early as like you say it is their prerogative it is a free country after all.
Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Not entirely sure why there is so much stick for Robinson. The entirety of United's attack down his side, with a preening show pony pissing about in front of him. Not that he was great, but I don't think he was outstandingly shit. He is the only one of the back four you can't pin a goal down to and say he, himself, personally should have stopped that.

When did I "call" anybody? Keveh made the remark, I simply agreed with it. I suggest keeping that temper of yours under control, Homeless One. I 'aven't done nuffink.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Totally disagree. Goal 1, he leaves Nani 10 yards of space to get a cross in, when your centre halves have Rooney and the Mexican to defend against who are both incredibly sharp it's imperative that pressure is put on the final ball or cross. Basic stuff.Prufrock wrote:Not entirely sure why there is so much stick for Robinson. The entirety of United's attack down his side, with a preening show pony pissing about in front of him. Goal 2 Petrov is back and under Robinsons instruction drops onto Nani whilst Robinson does feck all and marks free space. Leaves Jones free and unmarked to curl a cross in under no pressure! This is Robinsons area to manage, watch him, he's scared of getting tight on Nani therefore pulling Petrov into the wrong area.
Goal 3 Robinson is completely taken out of play by a Nani flick and then is puffing to get back into contention. Clearly there is more at fault than just Robinson here but his defending was absolutely basic shite.
Goal 5 a diagonal crossfield and Robinson is an absolute mile of Nani he then let's Nani run towards the box, completely backs off, no pressure then let's him pick out a pass with no pressure on the ball. Completely unacceptable.
And let's not even mention his laughable defending for the disallowed goal!

I agree. Let's not. I tire of laughable defending. Seen enough of it from our side these past 6 months.BWFC_Insane wrote:Totally disagree. The reason United attack mainly down our left is because they knew that Robinson is our weakest link and also that Petrov is never going to help out in defence.Prufrock wrote:Not entirely sure why there is so much stick for Robinson. Robinson has been shocking all season, he is too slow, has no positional sense and offers nothing going forward. the problem we have got is that there is nobody else to bring in for him, Gardner and Alonso are injured as is Mears (mainly right footed but could play left back) our only other option would be to try Wheater there or Connolly is untried and again mainly right footed (I think?)
Therefore until we get players fit we are stuck with Robbo which is worrying as even Norwich will have seen how easily it is to get at us down our left. Hopefully we will have too much going forward for Norwich?
Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Looked beaten before a ball was kicked unfortunately, no chance of giving them a tough game. Actually thought we were OK with the ball but without it was a complete shambles really. Crosses allowed to come into the box at will, Rooney allowed to drop into space and turn, Phil Jones running 40 yards with the ball etc. Then again is it a surprise when we "don't work on shape" apparently as mentioned in my previous post, which Dr.Karl quotes.
A lot of players didn't play well but Kevin Davies, as much as we all like him, was the worst and looked like a Conference clogger unfortunately. I've noticed that whenever Davies gives it away, even on half way, a good team will often create a chance from it because our midfield commits to supporting him - This was how the first goal went in. Second goal no pressure on the cross, baffles me why no-one thought to even stand near the thrower, Jones. Game was up after those two simples things.
Last thing -
Not normally one to moan about having everyone back for a corner, but at 3-0 up United still had 3 men on half way - De Gea gets it, one punt up the pitch and United nearly score from the Keystone Cops stuff. From the resulting corner we're 3-0 down but still have everyone back... Even given that mass of defenders, Nani is still allowed to saunter into the middle of the box, they have another unmarked on the edge and yet another unmarked far post who scores easily. Come on guys!

Secret option #6 is Sam Ricketts. Who is, of course, injured. Our luck sucks.Norpig wrote:The reason United attack mainly down our left is because they knew that Robinson is our weakest link and also that Petrov is never going to help out in defence.Prufrock wrote:Not entirely sure why there is so much stick for Robinson. i agree some changes are needed, tuncay ngog def need to start, i wasnt that impressed with boyata, didnt really create anything going forward, i would rather have rickets when hes fit
Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Boyata atleast seems competent defensively, bit of a novelty for us really.aussie_wanderer wrote:i agree some changes are needed, tuncay ngog def need to start, i wasnt that impressed with boyata, didnt really create anything going forward, i would rather have rickets when hes fit

Boyata is a fooking defender and he did a decent job against Young. Fooks sake, we have a defender who looks like he might be able to defend and folk moan about him!aussie_wanderer wrote:i agree some changes are needed, tuncay ngog def need to start, i wasnt that impressed with boyata, didnt really create anything going forward, i would rather have rickets when hes fit
